My wife and I spent a long weekend in apartment 8 at Waimahana with some really good friends. This apartment has the best views in the complex as it is on the top floor and has views to the south and also out over the lake into Taupo township. There is a bbq on the deck which we used each night. Easy access into the carpark and then to the apartment. This apartment has two allocated parks in the underground carpark.
The apartment has 3 bedrooms with the master having an ensuite. There is a large open plan kitchen, dining, and lounge. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything that you need for a long term stay. There are several TVs with the one in the lounge having sky.
We made regular use of the main pool and the spa. We are staying again later in the year and will use the sauna and gym on our next visit.
Yes this apartment should get a five star rating but unfortunately it was not to be. The toilet in the main bathroom had been shut off and was awaiting a part for repairs. A plumber was called and the best outcome was for the toilet to be left continuously running. The other negative was the number of blown lamps in the down lights. 9 in total not going including 2 on the deck which made it very dark for cooking on the bbq. Without these problems it would be one of the nicest apartments that I have stayed in.
Look forward to our next stay and can hopefully give a five star review.

Got an Airbnb here, apartment 13. Was very comfortable with a full kitchen and amenities such as a gym, sauna, hot tub and heated pool. Right on the shores of Lake Taupo and close to the city centre. Secure basement parking also. Highly recommended.

Our family (two adults and two kids) had a lovely stay in apartment 11. Very spacious, great views towards Taupo city and surprisingly low road sounds. The apartment has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed. Great to have a washing machine and dryer also. The kids loved the warm and hot pool. We didn’t get around to using the small gym or sauna. The comms for booking the apartment and asking questions etc was very easy and responsive. Thanks for a lovely stay.

2018. The room was clean and comfortable. All the amenities stated were available. I had trouble with the wi-fi and didn't get a clear use till the day I was leaving. I would like to have had a room with a view, as mine looked out onto the motel across the way and the main road. Noise level ok from road traffic.

We have stayed at a few of these apartments over the years but number 11 had the best layout. Huge Masterbed down the end with 2 wardrobes and an ensuite, smaller twin bed room and a pull down queen bed ( that was actually very comfy) with large cavety slider doors that seperated off the 3rd room completely. There was also another bathroom with a bath. The view was of the lake and town from the balcony and lounge area. The lounge was huge and sunny with an open plan area. Even thou the apartment was on the roadside we has no issues with sound once the doors and windows were closed. The room had 2x aircon units and a washing machine drier. The complex had an amazing warm pool and extra hot spa. They was 1x secure carpark. Over all great experience and will be back!!

What a beautiful place and location! The apartments are located lakeside so provide spectacular views of the lake and overlook the swimming pool. The apartment complex has a heated swimming pool (so you can swim at night time even when it's a bit chilly), spa, sauna and a fully equipped gym. The apartment itself was very clean and tidy and had a great indoor/outdoor flow. There was enough space and bedding for us and we had 6 adults and 2 children. There are two bathrooms (one is an ensuite in the bedroom) and a fully equipped kitchen. The main room had air con/heating. It also had a washing machine and dryer. Free secure parking for two cars as well, and free WIFI. The only reason I haven't given it a five rating is because the bunk beds were seriously uncomfortable, they were so hard, and the light from the hallway on the other side of the bedroom is on all night, so shines through the sides of the blinds. The other beds were apparently ok though. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay here and would return again (but not stay on the bunk beds).

We stayed in this apartment during the weekend of the V8's in Taupo. It was a nice, tidy, clean and large room. It had a keypad lock - no need for keys which was super handy. It had a well stocked kitchen and a double shower which was great. Parking was great, with assigned spots in the basement. Check in and out is all contactless, we received good communication of how to check in and out. The only draw back was that the couch wasn't very comfy, there was only 1 mirror in the room and the vanity was quite small. But otherwise a great stay.

Wasn’t luxury as described. No staff on site and like another reviewer didnt have lake view. A lot of instructions for clearing up after our stay as they only have an hour and a half to clean! Thought I was on holiday.
