What can you say about this "palatial" B&B! We just spent 3 nights at Acacia Waters in the most glorious of locations with views down to Lake Taupo. Dianne and Pete know exactly how to run a B&B to the highest standard. Breakfast table setting was something to behold and even when "someone - namely me" requested their egg should be "rock hard" it was not too much trouble. Because of our length of stay we had an amazing room, bathroom with spa, walk in robe, balcony with table and chairs and a view to die for. Pete (skipper of Moet) took us out on the lake to view the carvings and dropped a line but alas nothing was biting.

I have never stayed at a bed and breakfast before. The first experience was a thankful surprise. Everything perfect. The location with a gorgeous view of the lake. The room, delicately decorated and clean. The special breakfast. And the owners Peter and Diane made the experience much better. Thank you very much, Peter and Diane.

Diane Devlin’s hospitality at Acacia Waters Bed & Breakfast exceeded our expectations and elevated our experience to such a high level. She made us feel so welcomed. We felt spoiled. The house is stunning with beautiful art everywhere. Spacious and elegant yet super comfortable. The lotions & potions, sheets- all the best. The bed was truly the yummiest cloud we’ve ever slept in.
The wine and cheese plater was a work of art. The breakfast the next day left us both feeling appreciated and doted on. I won’t give you details, to not spoil your surprise, other than there’s no hint of ordinary here. Diane knows how to B&B you, like no other. Diane is a gem of a human with great sensibility.

My partner, daughter and I enjoyed every moment of our stay. The bedrooms were clean, comfortable and excellent value for money. Our hosts were super friendly and made us feel welcomed, like we were staying with some good friends. Highly recommend Acacia Waters Lodge and I can't wait to get back there. Great place for racking up those browny points!

We stayed at Acacia Waters for the Taupo Cycle Challenge. Our hosts went out of their way to make us and the other guests feel comfortable with a welcome drink and cheese board. We were able to use the kitchen to make drinks and the lounge, which had spectacular views over the bay. Breakfast was a delicious full cooked breakfast with cereals, juice and toast. The bed was very comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. The bathroom was shared with another room which worked out well, but if it had not there were other bathrooms in the house. Our hosts kindly helped us out wiith a lift into Taupo for the start of the challenge, as our bikes had been dropped off the previous day. All in all it was a much more welcoming and friendly experience than booking a hotel room, and much better value. We also enjoyed the company of the family dog and budgies (caged) - who had a fledgling. We would not hestitate in booking again.

Recently returned from the most amazing stay at Acacia Waters. Dianne and Pete were so accommodating. We couldn’t ask for more! A beautiful clean and tidy room with a huge bed looking over the lake and a luxurious spa bath to relax in. Every morning we had a delicious breakfast and Dianne made such effort to make sure we had everything we needed.
The bnb has everything you should need for a relaxing trip away to Taupo. We relaxed in the hot tub in the garden, which has stunning views of the lake with a glass of wine. We used the bikes provided for a day of cycling round the lake and Pete took us out of his boat to view the wood carvings.
It was my birthday on the trip and Dianne even went out of her way to get me a beautiful birthday cake.
The whole weekend was absolutely amazing and very relaxing.
Thank you Dianne and Pete for letting us stay in your beautiful home.

We had a wonderful two night stay with Pete and Dianne in their beautiful home. The rooms were incredibly comfortable and they made us feel at home while also providing 5 star service. They helped us pick and book activities in the Taupo area and also to plan our onward journey. The food was great, especially the home made granola! Highly recommend and hope to be back again one day!

Acacia waters would have to be the most amazing, most comfortable, totez generous hosts, gorgeous views, amazing food, totez all around most awesome bed & breakfast #perfectplace ever in the world. We booked for 3 days. ..ended up staying the whole week. .why? Coz Dianne & Peter are the warmest, most genuine folks we have met in a long time. .and staying with them in their home was the therapy we needed...we were truely blessed and wrapped up in the yumminess of the entire region. .from Lake taupo we saw everything worthwhile seeing in the north island thanks to the advice of Dianne & Peter...and we didn't need to leave the comfort of this gorgeous b&b. A lovely boat ride around lake taupo. ..an escaped thong hunt afterwards on the kayak..whilst my somewhat cray cray partner swam the distance to shore on a 20 deg nz day. .. Luv & laughter, wine & food. .the adorable Bella woof to greet us every arvo...& the ever patient Zac (thanks for putting up with us mate😀). The bubbly spa outside over looking lake taupo...devine...the humongous bed overlooking the lake, mountains and taupo. ..wow. Best of all. ..new friends. .who salvaged a somewhat stressed nz visit and turned it into an amazing holiday for us. .creating memories and a friendship we will treasure for eva... Thanks team acacia waters. ..we luv you. .you are the best at what you do. . Much luv & respect for all of your hard work, smiles and awesomeness Jac & rob xxxxx
