This is a great place to stay right on the coastal walk/bike route and the beach. Close to the city centre but also close to rural walks. Delightful friendly staff and the amenities are clean and well appointed.

Great location and a bonus being able to take our dog. Love the closeness to the beach and walking/biking track. Love the green spaces to walk the dog. Closeness to bike to the Port for a nice meal. We also found a great sports bar very close and we were able to watch the rugby world cup.

What an amazing an incredible week in New Plymouth, generally beautiful sunny day's with the odd day of torrential rain and high winds. I got to stay at the best place in town, Fitzroy Beach Holiday Park and experience some awesome hospitality and service. The location was perfect, right across from the beach, and on the Cosstal Walkway. The facilities were top notch, well presented, clean, tidy. Had everything you wanted and needed. Did some biking, walking, and spent time in the pool, sauna & spa. Unfortunately no kayak or surf time, but there's always another day. Also washed and cleaned both car & caravan. I got too experience great kai and kāwhe and customer service at every place (café or foodtruck) I went to. I highly recommend this Hararei Park for you and your Whānau to stay, I know, I will be back and it is now my Holiday Park of destination when going to New Plymouth. Just loved going to sleep with the sound of surf pounding on the beach and waking up to the same.…

A peaceful camp with good facilities and a lovely beach. Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. The kitchens have pots, pans, plates and utensils to use, with good indoor and outdoor tables. Excellent laundry and free hot showers. Ample room at campsites.

We have stayed here prior in our caravan and felt it was spacious and lovely being next to the beach. The staff were lovely. Recently we had a quick visit to New Plymouth and it wasn't worth bringing our caravan so booked a unit for our family of 5. I felt it was very overpriced ($225 a night). Spacewise it felt more cramped than our caravan. The bathroom was mildewy and the whole unit seemed unhealthy. We were put in the very back unit behind 3 or 4 other units. A tiny deck but no view of anything other than the unit in front. We could not fit our car into the allocated spot and open the doors (as they hit the unit to the side & our deck) to give you an idea of space. We parked our vehicle in front of the side unit that was empty however if it was a busy time I'm not sure where we would park. I certainly could not stay there more than one night and wouldn't book those units again. …

This is a lovely spacious site right on the seafront. Staff were very helpful and the pitches are a generous size. You can walk in either direction along the coast path, into town, or to more beaches and both are pleasant. We were on the upper terrace with great views and enjoyed the sound of the waves nearby. The facilities are also good. One of my 2 favourite campsites on our 24 day trip.

Relaxed vibe, clean facilities and amazing beach sunset. This was very close to town and we enjoyed our beach walk. Plenty of things for the children to play on. We could walk along the coastal pathway into town.

This is the best Campsite. Highly recommended for the beach view campgrounds. Staffs were friendly. Kitchen and bathrooms were clean and tidy. I would definitely return to this place in future.

Lovely clean facilities and everything that you need. Cabins can get stuffy so make sure you air it daily. Our son liked the bouncy pillow and we loved being right next to the coastal walkway. Saw beautiful sunsets.
