This was the first time we have stayed here and I couldn’t rate it higher!
The location was great and the parking was easy to access in my 4WD.
I spoke to Daniel at check-in who was very helpful with info on the local restaurants and hotel services. The chargeback service was great, totally hassle free.
Our room was superb value for money with a view of the sea. Everything was very clean and the bed and bathroom were great. The kitchen had everything that we required, was user friendly and there was a surprisingly good selection in the minibar at a reasonable price.
We ordered a room service breakfast which arrived on time to the minute, hot and fresh.
Thank you for having us, we look forward to staying here in the future.

Love how this hotel is right in the city centre, surrounded by amazing cafes and restaurants like Monica’s, Itch Wine Bar and Mrs Whites. Very helpful gentleman behind the counter that recommended a good walk to see a few of the sights.
The room was just above ground level and was nice a quiet, undisturbed by the street noise.
Incredibly comfortable bed, good selection of TV channels and nice wide open rooms and modern bathroom. The mini bar had a great selection including very well priced half bottle Craggy Merlot and my favourite Antipodes 500ml sparkling.
Highly recommend and will be bringing my family back.

My husband and I decided to spend the Easter Long weekend in New Plymouth for my husbands birthday. We were excited to stay at the King and Queen Hotel Suites as they are CommUnity Merchants, so it was fantastic knowing a portion of our spend at the hotel would go out to our 3 CommUnity Groups that we support.
We stayed in the Premium Suite which has a nice big bathroom, separate toilet, super king bed, a water view balcony and cute little complimentary biscuits every morning after housekeeping arrived. The hotel is impeccably clean and Daniel & the staff were absolutely lovely, smiley people.
The hotel is also very close to bars, cafe's, restaurants, retail shopping, the museum and the coastal walkway. We enjoyed using bikes the hotel supplied free of charge so we could nip around New Plymouth - soaking up all it has to offer.
We also had a lovely in-room back massage which was a lovely touch to our luxurious stay.
Thank you Daniel & the team, we will definitely be back!

From the moment you arrive in Reception, you will love King and Queen! Daniel and crew make you feel immediately at home and nothing is too much trouble. We have not stayed in any other hotel where the front of house crew come out from behind the desk to chat with you. The Hotel itself is a "work of art" in its Architecture and furnishings, but the artwork on the walls reminded us of being in a gallery, and it was a treat to go from floor to floor enjoying it all. We stayed in a Premium suite, and it lived up to its name, in roominess, again furnishings, quietness, and bathroom essentials.
The Hotel has complimentary carparking and use of bikes and is close to the waterfront with its brilliant seapath, near beautiful Pukekura Park and to the shops. The Len Lye Centre is across the road. The Hotel adjoins a Food and Beverage "Courtyard" where you really are spoilt for choice and can be charged back to your room. What more can we say but that we highly recommend King and Queen, but in particular for the really friendly folk there who will make your stay memorable.

A very warm welcome ,well appointed room and perfect city centre location instantly make you feel you made a good choice on arrival to this hotel. The decor and furnishings have been very carefully chosen and leave you impressed. Easy walking distance from the hotel to the Boardwalk and gardens. There good cafes and restaurants also on tap near to the hotel.

The highlight of our road trip, we really enjoyed our two nights here. Loved the suites, they are beautifully appointed, have a nice selection in the mini bar and the artwork and decor in the whole place is gorgeous. We had a gas fire in our lounge which we used, the beds were amazingly comfortable and our room was upstairs facing out over the courtyard to Ozone Coffee but it was really quiet. Plenty of onsite carparking which makes it easy . They have complimentary bikes you can take out and we went down to the coastal walkway one morning which I'd recommend. K&Q is in the perfect location to walk to the water, museum, art gallery or any of the great shops and restaurants down this end of town. Highly recommend and we'll be back for sure. Couldn't fault it. Lovely service, thanks Sarah, Daniel and James.

Sometimes a property pleases at every turn. This is such a hotel.
We have a 2 bedroom suite. The apartment style accommodation was comfortable and convenient, the bathrooms were modern and excellent, the full kitchen was excellent, the beds were super comfortable, the heating was silent and effective and a gas fire was a second option that provided cheer in the wintry conditions.
The staff were extraordinarily helpful and pleasant.
The location is excellent- easy walk to many restaurants and eateries, 3 minutes to the sea, very good parking, and EV charging.
Great art in the corridors and a pleasant vanilla candle smell.
Housekeeping staff were very good.
I thought the price was reasonable for what we got.
Just excellent.

When we visit New Plymouth we always stay here. The staff are so welcoming as you walk in the door. This hotel prides itself on cleanliness and friendliness and go the extra mile to make your stay special. We love the Premier suites they are spacious, quiet, and the the beds are so comfortable. The location is great only 3 minute walk to the sea, and to CBD restaurants and cafes close by so no need to use your car park up and walk plus free parking on site.

Really love this hotel! Room is the perfect size, clean and cosy with all the modern amenities. Great location. Staff have been friendly, polite and professional. This place is perfect for a getaway to relax while enjoying the all the fantastic nearby eateries. Attention to detail is certainly taken, from the free bike hire, access to a nearby gym and the shoe polish box in the carpark. Couldn't recommend this place more. I look forward to returning.

We chose New Plymouth as a transit town and were really pleased to arrive in the foyer of this hotel.
It just screamed luxury! The guy on reception persuaded us to take the room upgrade, to provide a much bigger room with a French bath and a balcony. Apparently a much nicer room all round... which it was! Immaculate in every way, with some lovely extra touches.
We paid 156 NZD in total, for definitely the best room we’ve had whilst touring NZ.
The staff were super helpful with restaurant recommendations, and directions. And we were also given a little booklet of vouchers to use in local venues. Which helped to persuade us where to eat ;-)
Easy to park under the hotel, with lift access if required. Good location within the town.
Would definitely recommend anyone to stay here, and take the upgrade if offered!

Yes it does have two bathrooms, this place is stunning service excellent and slap bang in the middle of restaurants and wine bar, and if that’s not enough they give you a voucher book that you can use it’s FANTASTIC. Have a glorious stay.
