The cleaning was pretty average. There was mould on the ceiling of the shower/ toilet, and the toilet/shower smelled. Hot water comes and goes. Not sure if that's because there was not enough hot water or something. The hot water tap in the toilet makes a loud sound whenever it gets turned on, which is a bit annoying. If they can clean the room well, especially the ceiling, and toilet floor and replace the water tap, that would be great.
The hosts are very friendly. There was a little bar fridge in the room, which was very nice. Also, there was a stove and kitchen supplies in the room.

The manager was very helpful with our queries - we needed an extra carpark for another large American car, and there was missing cutlery and basin plug. The room may look dated but it had the most comfortable beds, good quality sheets, good shower pressure and quiet plumbing. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. No air conditioning but three fans and plenty of windows in the end unit.

Friendly & helpful manager/host. Exterior needs a bit of sprucing up as well as the gardens. Found empty drink bottle under a bed from previous guests. Toilet ceiling and walls had quite a bit of mould. Hand soap dispenser didn't work. Kitchen floor felt a bit grubby underfoot. Also our room wasn't serviced the next day during our stay either ie no vacuuming of dining area and dishes weren't washed & dried, but was given fresh towels.

So pleased we ended up with this accommodation. Owner/staff was friendly from the very start when I booked over the phone to time we arrived. He was very helpful - he showed us the easiest way to get to the venue of the concert we were going to. GPS said it was a 25 minute walk but he showed us a different route and was only a 5-10 minute walk. Definitely the place to stay if your'e heading to Bowl of Brooklands. We booked a large studio that accommodated 3 people. Room was tidy and shower/toilet were clean. All facilities were there for a short stay. Linens and towels were fresh and none of that dusty smell or itchiness I usually have when I stay in an ''oldish" motel. Overall, we were very happy with our stay!

Very friendly, helpful lady who went over and beyond to accommodate our family group. Easy, swift check in and free milk for the fridge. For a family of four to stay in New Plymouth, this option is exceptional value for money. The apartment was roomy and had a great kitchen and two bedrooms. Great value for money. Highly recomended.

The cleanliness of the room was terrible, the whole unit needed a deep clean. It hadn't been vacuumed properly in months. All surfaces needed to be cleaned with disinfectant. The unit was very dated with broken and damaged items and fixings. The vanity needed to be replaced, the shower was rotten in places and needed replaced. The microwave was damaged and needed to be replaced. Light switches were damaged and needed replaced. Curtains has holes in them. Total upgrade and cleaning needed. Would not stay here again

I did a quick trip to New Plymouth from Auckland for one night. The host was very friendly and helpful. I arrived at 1.30pm and the room was still being cleaned and he offered to upgrade me to another room at no extra cost. However I only had to wait 10 minutes so I declined the upgrade. The room was around the back and very quiet. It was reasonably priced. There was no cook top, just a microwave, so I wouldn't want to stay more a night or two with no means of cooking. The room was tidy, clean but outdated and desperately in need of a makeover as is the whole motel. So all in all, it was sufficient.

During the night there was a leak in their bathroom, so not a good start, Overall it was ok! It was a roof over our head. We did heaps of stuff when we were there including seeing the lights, eating food always the best part of the trip, sight seeing

Visited with a group who required 7 rooms and nothing was a problem for the staff and managers. Loved our stay warm units with comfortable beds. The staff worked a make our stay and activities simple and enjoyable. They couldn't do enough for us.

Our family room was spotless and had everything we needed for our nights stay. Quite spacious too. Jay (manager/host/owner) was very helpful and friendly and even offered a discounted price for the room. Will definitely recommend 😊
