I was here for 2 nights and paid around 27$/night for a 10-bed dorm. Luckily, what I actually got was a 6-bed room which was not even full.. Positive: -I arrived by bus & almost didn't have to walk at all, because the hostel is right next to the bus stop and info-center. There is also a shopping centre, as...

This is a popular hostel located right in front of New Plymouth's main square, just a few metres from the bus stop, the i-Site, Puke Ariki and the waterfront. It simply doesn't get any better than this location-wise. My friend and I stayed in the ensuite family room, which was great value for money at just over $80/night during Waitangi...

The place is well located. When I arrived Marie familiarised me with the place, and told me where to go; she was very helpful. The sun terrace is a nice feature, with a good view. I only stayed one night, but I would definitely go back.

The location is perfect--right across from the beach and near many places to eat and drink. I usually stay here when I have to catch a plane the next morning. The rooms are very clean. The bathrooms are shared but they're always clean.

My husband and I had a double room overlooking Puke Ariki, which oddly plays loud opera music from about 6am. We had access to a private shower and the room was clean with its own TV. Husband was impressed with the original Warriors poster outside our room but I preferred the fab retro carpet. Very friendly and helpful staff and...

It is just in the city centre and few meters away from the bus stop. The location is more than perfect. The building needs some renovation. But, location and kind staff make you say "nevermind". Recommended.

I stayed at Ariki backpackers for 3 nights and had I nice stay overall. They upgraded me to an ensuite room without charging me extra money for, since it was the only one left and told me were to go and what to do. The room was reasonably clean, but the beds were awful! Not comfortable what so ever. Laundry...

Excellent location, near to isite museums beach bars and restaurants. Very bad wifi connexion, and too expensive!! But you have free wifi everywhere in the Town. Nice service, rooms are ok but not modern.
