3 couples Stayed overnight in three seperate units while attending a funeral. Couldn’t get into units till 2.00. Nice and close to restaurants for easy walk. Unit was upstairs and had to lift luggage up two sets stairs. Unit was clean but needing renovating. Had a shower over bath which is hard if you have hip/knee/back issues Bed lovely and comfy but a lot of road noise, Supplied with milk and tea/coffee but no salt and pepper Ordered full cooked breakfast great price but arrived only warm and the two fried eggs were broken and burnt as was bacon, scrambled eggs and beans were great. Would I stay again or recommend, Definitely not.
Stayed here on recommendation for three nights very recently. We stayed in downstairs studio It was a good size - clean and comfortable. Convenient parking. Although very centrally located to CBD there was little traffic or other noise. Breakfast ordering system a little confusing.
We came to N.P to attend a concert with 2 teen boys and had a 1 bdroom family room. Lots of space and clean and comfortable. Motel was fully booked over our stay and roome was very sound proof which was good as most other guests were concert goers who of course enjoyed a few drinks before and after. Large spa and bathroom. The upstairs bedroom did get very hot as air con was located downstairs and upstairs had a ceiling fan which just moved the hot air around but didn't make out stay less enjoyable. Walking distance to town, restaurants, waterfront and pukekura park. Would definitely stay again.
We have just stayed for 6 nights. Car park, laundry and free internet available. The location is excellent, many great cafes and restaurants a very short walk away. Pukekura park is a short walk and the coastal walkway and isite centre is a 2min walk. Our room had a private balcony which was great, it over looks a busy street but we couldn't hear any traffic when the door was closed. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Two lazy boy arm chairs were a bonus. Although we didn't cook it there was cooking facility there. A corner bath was a real treat and we had a very comfortable bed. The staff were friendly, helpful and respectful.
This place was lovely. A good distance from the shopping district and Pukekura Park. So neat and tidy, friendly service. If I had complaint it would be face the toilet away from the vanity. My partner isn't fond of traffic, but other then that I hope to be back for the festival of lights.
Perhaps I am missing something (the complete absence of a rock'n'roll lifestyle for example) but to both take my credit card details and then also charge a $200 refundable bond seems excessive and not something I have ever struck at a NZ motel before. While we passed the morning room inspection before receiving our refund - quelle surprise - I resent the process of suspicion of criminality. My credit card should surely be enough - plus the bed was soft. Will find somewhere more welcoming next time we are here, location isn't everything.
Very handy central location, walking distance to the waterfront, and the shopping mall. The Unit as very clean and very tidy, and a very helpful Owner - Tristan at check-in! Great place team. Lots of great cafes and resturants near by.
Our room was upstairs with a balcony overlooking a busy road and tired buildings. The bed was comfy but small and light gets into the room through the kitchen blinds. The internet in the evening was so bad it lagged out constantly. The shower over the bath is good and parking on site very easy. The location is great with lots of restaurants within close walking distance. I wont stay here again, there are smoking ashtrays outside the rooms and the road noise is too annoying and we stayed on a week night.
Great location, fantastic team and service, clean room, plenty of parking, quick and easy check in. I highly recommend this as a place to stay if you’re keen to walk around town and like to be amongst the vibe of the city. Literally a 2 minute walk to food, pubs, shops and the foreshore is only a 5 minute walk. Definitely would stay again
We were greeted by the lovely staff who were very friendly and helpful. The location was great and parking easy. The room we had was a family room. The layout was good with aircon downstairs. Due to the fantastic weather the top floor was a sauna. Due to the very loud road noise and people outside we were unable to leave the windows open. Even closed the noise wasn’t much better. The place could do with a good clean. We had a couple of dirty towels and dirty furniture (which is past its use by date), limited teaspoons which is important when travelling with a toddler and some of the dots on the bath bottom kept coming off. The beds where clean and comfortable. The bathroom was good and offered what you needed as a traveller.
