Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed here for 2 nights. We had room 12 which is a 2-bedroom apartment with balcony. This was a very comfortable and spacious apartment. The beds were really comfortable. The main advantage of staying here is that it is very central and within walking distance of a number of attractions, the shops, and restaurants. The staff were very friendly and the unit was clean and in good condition. Although situated next to a busy road, the road noise dies away by around 11pm.

Great location, fantastic team and service, clean room, plenty of parking, quick and easy check in. I highly recommend this as a place to stay if you’re keen to walk around town and like to be amongst the vibe of the city. Literally a 2 minute walk to food, pubs, shops and the foreshore is only a 5 minute walk. Definitely would stay again

Last minute, 5pm late winter weekend female traveling on my own needed a bed in a town I don't know to well, drove past saw the vacant sign so I popped in.
Booking was made, Person at front of house was friendly and very helpful with both the room booking and where to get some dinner,. Parking right outside the door (had a ground level studio)
Room was very clean, warm, had everything I needed, had a spa bath, heat pump and good size balcony,
Yes I would stay again
Checkout the next morning was quick and once again another great staff member

Perhaps I am missing something (the complete absence of a rock'n'roll lifestyle for example) but to both take my credit card details and then also charge a $200 refundable bond seems excessive and not something I have ever struck at a NZ motel before. While we passed the morning room inspection before receiving our refund - quelle surprise - I resent the process of suspicion of criminality. My credit card should surely be enough - plus the bed was soft. Will find somewhere more welcoming next time we are here, location isn't everything.

We came to N.P to attend a concert with 2 teen boys and had a 1 bdroom family room. Lots of space and clean and comfortable. Motel was fully booked over our stay and roome was very sound proof which was good as most other guests were concert goers who of course enjoyed a few drinks before and after. Large spa and bathroom. The upstairs bedroom did get very hot as air con was located downstairs and upstairs had a ceiling fan which just moved the hot air around but didn't make out stay less enjoyable. Walking distance to town, restaurants, waterfront and pukekura park. Would definitely stay again.

3 couples Stayed overnight in three seperate units while attending a funeral. Couldn’t get into units till 2.00.
Nice and close to restaurants for easy walk.
Unit was upstairs and had to lift luggage up two sets stairs.
Unit was clean but needing renovating.
Had a shower over bath which is hard if you have hip/knee/back issues
Bed lovely and comfy but a lot of road noise,
Supplied with milk and tea/coffee but no salt and pepper
Ordered full cooked breakfast great price but arrived only warm and the two fried eggs were broken and burnt as was bacon, scrambled eggs and beans were great.
Would I stay again or recommend, Definitely not.

This is our 2nd time here, and again absolutely brilliant. Was extra happy to see the friendly face of one of the staff members, Kathy, who to our surprise remembered who we were. Tje cleanliness and service here is fantastic. The motel was fully booked out Saturday and sunday, and watching her having total control over everything was great and Kathy made sure to let the guests know , our rooms would be serviced. We have booked again and we look forward to our stay there again.
Thanks guys

Stayed here on recommendation for three nights very recently. We stayed in downstairs studio It was a good size - clean and comfortable. Convenient parking. Although very centrally located to CBD there was little traffic or other noise. Breakfast ordering system a little confusing.

This motel is located very centrally in CBD of New Plymouth, easy to find and good parking. Rooms have everything you need and compendium very informative. comfy beds, chairs and enjoyably a bath, as Im scared of showers. Upstairs units and ground floor units available. Only negative is very noisy with traffic but so is most of CBD. I have stayed here before and it never ceases to please, would recommend it.

Booked here, visiting family and also renewing my acquaintance with New Plymouth. Very central, could walk to museums, library, coastal walk and Pukekura Park within 10 minutes. Exceptionally clean motel with daily servicing of towels, tea, coffee. Would definitely stay again.
