We had a two bedroom/one bath (large spa tub) unit with a small kitchen. It worked, but it felt a bit cramped. The pool area is clean and well-kept and provides decent space to relax. The office staff were very friendly and helpful and offered suggestions on dining and sightseeing.

Amazingly clean, spacious studio room with massive spa and single shower, comfy bed with big tv. The staff are beautiful, friendly people. Rates are good as accommodation is very good! Great place to stay, not far from the main parts of Rotorua

Booked in here before we went off to hike lake Waikaremoana. We knew we would need a good shower, ground floor parking to unload all our luggage, king size bed, and a good soaking in a large spa bath Emerald spa provided this.The staff were friendly and helpful, they showed us to our room and where to park. Only concern was that while using the great shower the water went around the glass screen and headed towards the carpet. Would stay here again

This was our next stop after Auckland and stayed here for 3 nights. The Inn is located just about 1km from the city centre. It consist of various two storey blocks. There are adequate open air car park for the tenants. There is a outdoor pool. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. We booked 1 bedroom platinum accommodation. There is a full size spa in the bathroom, but we didn’t have the chance to use it. The kitchen and lounge is a combined area. There is electric hotplate in the kitchen. There are enough pots, pans and utensils for cooking or heating up take away food. However, the there is no rangehood to get the fumes and smell of cooking out of the room. This was a bit stressful for us, as the hotel threatened to charge cleaning cost if there is residual smell in the room. The only other issue with this hotel is that there is no lift. Hence it will be difficult for those with disability, unless they book ground floor room.

My partner and I stayed at this place for one night for our stop over to go down the line. We booked a room with spa but the agency messed it up so we had to settle for a standard room without spa. We paid 270 dollars for a room that not only had no air-conditioning during summer season but had a broken fan that only had 2 propellers and struggling to operate and very noisy when being used so we couldn’t even use that. Also, the blinds were too short on the sides and the bottom so people can basically see inside our room. We didn’t get to complain because no one was at the reception and we weren’t going to wait all day. I would have had a better sleep in my car for zero dollars. We were very disappointed with this that we couldn’t get over it for 2 days. Definitely not coming back and wouldn’t recommend.

We booked for two nights, got one tiny bottle of milk and two cookies for four adults. Had to ask for additional tea, coffee and sugar, begrudgingly given. Second day no dish cloth or tea towel for the dishes and one tiny bar of soap between four of us. Advised of additional housekeeping costs if left unclean, more interested in the dollar than service to guests. Disappointing. Kitchen area was very cramped, lighting was appalling. No where to dry our bathers or towels. Wouldn't recommend.

Stopped in for a room, no reservation. the woman at the front counter looked down her nose at us from the minute we stepped inside. Unfriendly and unwelcoming to the point that we told her to forget it and went to a much nicer motel down the road" Arista" who I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. The contrast between the 2 was black and white. I would definatley not recommend Emerald as a representation of this fine land with our well reputed friendly hospitality.

Lights were so dim Spa z next to bed which has no curtain or door n the jetts are too strong that the water was going on carpet due to that i didnt take spa. From the moment we walked in the door to check in, these hosts were unprofessional, disrespectful and rude! They took one look at us and assumed we were going to trash their rooms. They were so judgemental before giving us a chance. Even saying comments like "Don't go trashing our rooms". The man host walked around stalking everybody all weekend. Even standing at the gate till early hours of the morning to interrogate anybody coming home to their hotel and accusing us of not having a room here because he couldn't remember all our faces. To top it all off, 10 minutes before check out my friend walks out of the bathroom wearing just a towel only to find the male owner standing in her room trying to inspect the room. That is just disgusting! She then had to demand him to get out so she could put some clothes on. After all this offensive behaviour, we had given them NO trouble the whole weekend! I would NOT recommend this hotel to anybody under the age of 50. If you look young, they will assume you are going to be trouble and treat you like your below them.
