We chose Aura because of its central location and an easy 5 minute walk from the InterCity bus stop with suitcases. It’s quiet and 5 minutes walk to Lake Rotorua. We also love the fact that they are actively engaged in sustainability initiatives and encourage their guests to get on board too. Room was comfy and warm. Parking bay directly outside. Good laundry facilities with a new washing machine and dryer - $4 each and free powder at Reception. We used the thermal pool which was heaven after a long day sightseeing. Staff are super friendly and we had a warm welcome like old friends! Many thanks to Ellen for helping us get a hire car and book tickets to Whaka Village. Staff love talking travel and are always approachable with any questions or recommendations. Communication right from booking was excellent, clear and warm. Our room was quiet, clean and comfortable with a parking spot near the bottom of the stairs. The staff were helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the outdoor pool and the mineral pool. A short walk to restaurants and cafes. The Government Gardens are nearby and following the boardwalk around the lake to Kuirau Park makes for a very good walk.

Centrally located to town, Eat Street and other restaurants, the lake. Easily accessible by car passing through town. Communication and engagement from the staff was excellent. Our room was fresh, comfortable and clean. On site heated pool and two spas that were extremely hot. Ample convenient car parking.

Location close to lake and spas but also to food. Lots of good food options. Great communication with host. Good size, we had the two bedroom. Only downside was the scalding water. Would absolutely stay there again!

A little gem. Perfect position for the lakefront and restaurants. Spotlessly clean, friendly attentive staff who really enjoyed working there. Their recycling and sustainability initiatives are brilliant. Will definitely stay again.

Great hotel with good facilities eg BBQ with everything provided. The heated pool and thermal pools were a great end to the day. Staff were excellent, helpful and went out of their way for us. Cannot recommend this hotel enough. And it is LOCATION, LOCATION.

We had a delightful stay in the two bedroom suite at Aura Accommodation. First and foremost, the staff were incredibly nice and helpful. The suite was cute and very clean, with a nice deck area in front. The location is superb, right in the heart of town and beside the lake. We’d happily stay here again.

We were a group of four adults in one room, and we had a very good experience here, both with staff and with facilities. This is a very nicely updated motel property. The room seemed recently updated, and was well designed and quite comfortable for four, with ample towel space, a kitchen equipped with all needed including fresh ground coffee and local milk, a couch and dining table, and a separate room for the 2nd two beds. The staff member who greeted us on arrival had good recommendations to share, including for breakfast next door (Lime Cafe, very good). Two things especially stood out at this property: the outstanding eco friendly features, including bins for trash recycling and composting, geothermal heating, local products, etc; and the the way the motel used wall-sized blackboards in the reception area to convey all kinds of info on nearby sites and restaurants. The office is not staffed during late night hours, so this also serves to provide info when they’re not there. Thumbs up to Aura Accommodations!…

The whole atmosphere is fantastic, we enjoyed every moment! We did also fantastic cultural and nature activities, both day and night. Both swimming pool - 36 degress - and termal bath - 40 degrees are are very relaxing
