Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

This motel is in a good location on one of the main roads into town, though from our room did’nt notice any traffic noise.
The couple running the motel were very friendly, a nice welcome on arrival and interested in what we were doing during our time in Rotorua. The rooms were a good size, everything works, enough cutlery etc provided for the three of us, great shower, comfortable bed. What else do you need.

We had 2 nights at Palm Court Motor Inn & had only booked 1 activity. Michael was so welcoming on our arrival & was more than happy to make suggestions & provide us with discount vouchers. I needed some washing done & for a reasonable rate, he took care of it for us (NZ10).

The room was spacious & well appointed with little extras like truffles each day to ‘sweeten’ our stay. We had a huge spa that we filled with the natural heated springs that run beneath Rotorua & it was blissful.

My only small negative was lack of choice of pillows. I like a bit of volume in my pillow but they were all fairly thin down pillows with no alternative. Having said that, it’s kind of a ‘ Pea & Princes’ thing & didn’t hinder my stay. I would recommend this reasonably priced Motor Inn.

We spent two nights at the Palm Court Motor Inn and they were two very comfortable nights indeed. It’s on a main road, but we weren’t bothered at all by noise from the cars (and believe me, I get bothered by car noise!). The room was big, the beds comfortable, one of our party loved the reclining seats and it was nice having a yard in which to chill in the evenings. Sadly, we didn’t make use of the hot tub. Our hosts were very friendly and knowledgeable and always ready for a chat. I would stay here again, no doubt.

To be honest we were a bit disappointed. The room was quiet and the bed was comfortable but it the little things that were disappointing. The room rates were expensive compared to other motels so we did expect a little more.
There was NO WIFI. The manager muttered something about the street having problems but made no apologies or offered no recomense. I suggested he contact the service provider but after 3 days still no WIFI. In this dayt and age a functional WIFI for guests is a given
The shower over the spa was not suitable for short people as it was an awful and somewhat dangerous clamber to change the temperature settings as the rose was way to high. Also I nearly scalded myself turning the shower off as there was no indication of which way was hot or cold.
The tap to the spa bath ran hot and then cold. You had to turn it on and off, leave it for a few minute and turn it on again to make sure thewater didn't cool down too much and then when the bubbles were turned on the air blowing through was cold, even after a few minutes.
There are 3 towels provided buit only space for hanging 2?
The cups in the cupboard were stained and dirty.
The breakfast bowls were so small you could hardly fit more than one weetbix in them.

If attention was paid to the little things, the stay would have been more satisfying.

This motel is in a great location on Fenton St. I looked at all the reviews here and was a bit surprised that there are some obvious down sides to this motel. Firstly I booked a room with an outdoor spa pool but got an indoor one spa which didn’t work for me as I’m very claustrophobic. The whole unit needs to be refurbished especially the bathroom, it’s very dated. The bed was hard and the outdoor lights from the unit next door shone in all night so we had a bad night sleep. The kitchenette is really just tea and coffee making with a fridge and microwave. The hosts are lovely, so I thought twice about writing this review, but in all honesty the motel isn’t quite as shiny as all the other very excellent reviews say it is. We wouldn’t go back.

We just finished our road trip and we would like to share that we really enjoyed our stay in ASURE Palm Court Rotorua. Mike and Anja are very friendly host and accommodating our needs with warm-hearted hospitality and greeting, which we really appreciated as we have a furry boy with us and seldom see pet friendly accommodation in Rotorua.
When we had some questions before making a booking, they replied very quickly and they got us a lot of useful info about the area. I can see they are very professional and I feel I have already missed talking to them.
A hot tub in the guest room is a big plus and the facility is well-maintained. We definitely recommend if you are looking for something special among a tons of motels in Rotorua. And we will return someday very soon. Thank you.

Was advertised as pet friendly. Rang and emailed and informed owner we wanted to stay there for this reason and after them asking lots of questions about our dog we booked. Owner came over today, 2 nights into our prepaid stay and made a fuss and wanted my dog out of sight. (He was peacefully watching people wandering about in the courtyard outside our unit from his bed inside our unit.) Then the same owner had a screaming argument with a staff member for 40 minutes in the courtyard - I had had enough and we packed and prepared to leave. Husband went to point out as a courtesy that we were leaving and why - she lit up at him next. Not acceptable and will definitely not be going back or recommending to anyone else - quite the opposite in fact.

Great central location , only 15 minute leisurely walk to town(great for the Marathon), 5 minute walk to the racecourse - handy for when we can finally go again! Walking tracks through the bush close by also. Well stocked kitchen cupboards. Lovely friendly hosts with great local knowledge of things to do.

Good location and facilities, however, was very disappointed to find a hair ball on the shower wall and unwanted hair floating in the spa bath. I had already run the bath then thought I’d rinse in the shower first, to find a very obvious hair ball. The manager assured me both had been cleaned but I wasn’t very convinced. He cleaned the bathroom for me, but as the spa was already full he said it was fine to get it (I saw the hair in spa water after he left).

We just stayed together with our family for the long weekend. Even though on arrival ther was an issue with 1 of our units. Mike and Anya welcomed us with enthusiasm mixed with sincere apologies, they also had the best fix they could offer being fully booked. Once settled this was followed up with a bottle of wine 🥂 we had an amazing stay in clean, comfortable and spacious units side by side. Anya was very helpful and even gabe our 3yr old grandson as many brochures as he wanted and was happy to chat with him. Mike and Anya we will definitely be back 😁
