We were greeted warmly by Rebecca, the manager, and shown to our lovely, large, light and airy room. With views over the gardens and masses of space this was a delightful place to spend a couple of days. The lodge offers a good continental breakfast and the service by the staff was excellent. Rebecca was happy to look up opening times, find us a restaurant for dinner an answer any questions we had. Highly recommended. Would return
A welcoming hotel with charm and elegance. Superior suite was exceptional. Staff could not do enough for you. A pleasant change from the corporate hotel chains. The hotel manager was very attentive to our needs.
Beautiful driveway large garden friendly staff very helpful help us Booked restaurant. I really enjoyed stay here. There are a lot of animals and a lot of fruit trees. It's a unique place we will come back again.
While we enjoyed our stay this is not a boutique hotel and is not deserved of the price per night we paid. It’s a comfortable, but very dated home, with extensive, but also very dated, grounds. The staff is pleasant but very transactional. Furthermore, there’s no sign of the owner. Out of fairness to future guests the facility either needs a substantial upgrade or the description of the Lodge and grounds needs to be updated on the internet description to more authentically represent the actual state of affairs.
A big well-maintained garden with many bamboos which is rare to see in NZ, lovely and helpful staff who recommended lots of things to do in rotorua upon check in, a relaxing swimming pool on site but it was unlucky the balcony was closed during our stay which was a shame. Around 10 minutes drive to the town center so it was quite the whole time.
