The four bedroom Lake House at Peppers on Point is highly recommended. It is beautifully designed with stunning views of the lake, lots of common/shared space for group to spread out, cook a meal. It is decorated and maintained better than typical hotel villa. With daily housekeeping service, it really combines the best of aspects of a luxury resort and top-end Airbnb. Just as importantly, judging by TA reviews (and our own negative staff experience at Trinity Wharf Tauranga), NZ gets perhaps more than a fair share of hospitality/service complaints, but the management and staff at Peppers on the Point were universally friendly and helpful. Hands down one of the best service recovery experiences (helping remedy issue with bookings that wasn't even necessarily their fault)…
Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast and dinner is very good. Eggs Benedikt for breakfast is a must try. You feel you are a guest at a good friends home. Staying there was the highlight of our NZ trip.
Wonderful property! Views are stunning and service is even better, from the greeting with Ann to the wonderful service from Tracey during breakfast. We booked cabin 8, which was perfect. Made friends with the sheep and the donkeys. A must stay!!
Stayed for two nights in room 1 which is a lovely suite with a small kitchenette, bright and airy lounge area, well appointed bathroom and super comfy giant bed. The balcony and room has direct views over the lake and provides a lovely spot to sit and unwind. Breakfast is a combination of buffet and freshly prepared hot dishes with a good choice of dishes. Staff were lovely and friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. Lovely quirky property unlike the faceless chain hotels. Highly recommended for those with a car or not needing lots in walking distance.

A huge mansion, converted to a resort hotel on the shore of a scenic lake. The suits are awesome and the staff is very likable and friendly. We contacted Leanne in advance with the concerns about our tours and whether they would pick us up from the resort and she relentlessly worked hard to contact our tour companies to make them pick us up from the resort and for the ones who could not, she arranged transportation. Mathew the host of the dinner was awesome and so was Neeti who served breakfast. All the staff is friendly and…
