Our 4 bedroom villa was spectacular! The view on the point is stunning and we felt like we were in the setting of a James Bond movie! The main house is beautifully decorated and where we enjoyed a fabulous dinner. The food was excellent. The staff were all very friendly and attended to all of our needs. Enjoyed the several sheep, ponies and donkeys are morning visitors. Would highly recommend!

We were there for two nights and loved the place!!! It’s right in front of the lake and incredibly beautiful! It feels like you are staying in a luxurious country house, not a hotel. Breakfast was delicious and so beautifully presented that I think they had a chef prepare it, not just the regular omelette or scrambled eggs... On the day we checked out, we had a flight at the end of the day and they held our luggage and let us use the spa to take a shower before leaving. The place is not in the city center. It’s in a very quiet and peaceful location. We had to rent a car anyway, because most of the attractions are out of the city, so that wasn’t a problem. We were traveling with our two sons, so the only thing I didn’t like so much is that, even though the room was very spacious…

Thank you so very much for your very comprehensive review. I will ensure to send all your comments onto those you mention i.e: the kitchen, we do get a lot of comments regarding our breakfasts and dinner, so I am glad we did not disappoint. One of the wonderful things about this property, I and many of our guests find, is the peaceful and tranquil setting even though we are in close proximity to the city and all there is on offer in and around Rotorua. I agree with you re the Villa Apartment and we work very hard to proactively advise agents of the set up of this apartment but not always does the message get through. This year however, we are reviewing this apartment and are looking at ways to add a shower and toilet to the other bedroom. One of the most wonderful places at which we have ever stayed. Fabulous staff, amazing rooms with gorgeous furnishings and incredible attention to detail (very few 5* hotels actually provide real coffee and fresh milk). Breakfast and dinner (amazing food) overlooking the lake. Will return asap!

This is a good location and close to the major attractions. Staff were very helpful and our cabin had all of the amenities one would expect. They serve a great dinner at a reasonable price. There are sheep and donkeys on the premises.
