Manager Service: Good, very polite and apologetic but not good enough if they're not doing anything about the issues within the motel. Internet: Terrible!!! 3 routers but only 1 is working and disconnecting every 10 mins and terribly slow. its 2022 upgrade your system. Cleanliness: POOR, they don't change the linen and from day 1 the floor is gross and dirty and never attempt to vacuum for my 4 day stay. Location: GREAT. Facility: Very thin wall, god knows what was my neighbors are doing but I can definitely hear everything, unable to sleep properly. OVERALL: FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE, EVERYTHING IS BELOW STANDARD.

Cockroaches in the toaster, need I say more. Very basic and not as clean as it could be, no attention to detail in cleaning. limited crockery and cutlery. No flannels provided which is normal in NZ. I booked the Executive Superior Tub Suite and to be honest I’m glad I did because if the standard of the room was superior I’d hate to think what other rooms are like. The place was clean, but the reception was left unmanned both for my arrival and departure. Staff I did see were friendly. The bed needs replacing and the room cost was out of step with what you can get elsewhere.

Motel might look nice from the outside but don't fall for it. We were left completely in the lurch by the nasty greedy owner. Owner is incredibly rude and refused to let us in to our room. The reason because we showed up at 9.15 and the reception closes at 9. As we were travelling from Auckland we knew this was a possibility and had notified the owner. When we arrived nothing was prepared for us and we were turned away. We weren't even given a refund despite having paid in advance. NOT HAPPY. We ended up staying at the Holiday Inn who were much more hospitable. 10/10 better choice.

We stayed here in June 2020 for a quick break after the lockdown - loved it, central to everything for us and enjoyed it so much we are going back this month. Highly recommend for couples or families.

We felt very welcome and were delighted with the service and cleanliness of the rooms. Will definitely stay again !! The motel is moderately priced and so close to the city centre and eateries etc. Our kitchenette was fully equipped and easy to make breakfasts if you need.

The motel was ok could do with updating a little. The rooms were adequate, clean and had decent beds. We had an indoor spa bath which was great for relaxing, took a while to fill up as it was a good size. Yes its on Malfroy road which is one of the roads coming from a lot of residential areas so it can get busy. Yes there was a little road noise at night but hey your only a 5 min walk to the center so you expect that. For what we paid for 3 nights it was fine. If you fancy a bit more luxury go to Ridges on fenton Street!! Would use again. Only downside was not enough parking.

We tried to book in to this motel cause we enjoyed our stay here on a previous visit. Yet when we arrived and went to reception it was unattended wich is fine cause I know people can be busy, rang the number from the phone on the desk,was answered by a man. I explained that we were standing in reception and would like to book a room for a couple of days, he told me checking in was not till 2 pm. I said that's fine, we can come back but would like to book it so that I'm sure we have accommodation sorted for the weekend. He then gruffly told me was too busy to come to reception. Suffice to say we stayed somewhere else.

Just spent 2 nights here at the Rotorua Motel... thanks for having us. Nice clean room and perfect for what we needed. Good service and area. Thank you. Would certainly recommend and come back. I know the kids would love the pool!!!

How this place has one good ratings is beyond me, first it is 110% overpriced!! It’s a worn out nasty motel. Understandably Rotorua does have a distinct smell but this hotel is something else, it’s sewerage mixed with Sulphur mixed with rank!! On our last night we were woken up twice due to a terrible smell seeping into the room from the car park outside. A double room is 2 standard single beds pushed together, we had a fan that was broken, the room wasn’t cleaned after check in, the bathroom is worn, mouldy and gross and one of the blankets had a burn hole through it. Over $150 NZD per night for an absolute sh*t hole. DONT DO IT ! Would NOT recommend
