We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and we’re pleasantly surprised. We stayed in the standard 2 bedroom tourist flat. It was clean, tidy, spacious with everything we needed and very very well heated. The camping ground hot pools are lovely and it is such a scenic geothermal area. Such a great experience. There is even access to a hot water beach where you can dig hot water pools. It is walking distance to town and Kuirua park. A great location. We can’t wait to come back here again!!

Clean. Well priced. Well arranged holiday park. The Manager was awesome - understandably pointed out that their office should have been closed but would allow entry in to grounds. Assigned our motorhome to a powered site close to kitchen and toilet facilities. Pleasantly surprised with the amenities offered - thermal pool, hot spas, hangi steam pit, easy access to the lake, tv lounge. Camp rules are reasonable and for everyone’s enjoyment. Very helpful. A standout is how clean the facility was. Clearly the cleaners take pride in their work.

We spent the long weekend in Rotorua and I think found the best old school Kiwi holiday park. We shared a cabin with kitchenette and it was just perfect for us. A bit dated but immaculately clean with great facilities- pools, steam hangi, games room, nice grounds and super cheap! I couldn’t think of a better place for us, We will absolutely and definitely come back.

Loved this place, easy to book and communication was great. Not far from the hospital which is why we were here, the room we got was room one, double bed in one room and 3 single beds in the 2nd room and bunk bed in the lounge. Place was nice and spacious if the couch was a bed couch could fit 8 in there. the bathroom and toilet were close to the back door and the kitchen was nice size too. The beds were absolutely comfy as so soft and clean and warm. The heaters are the older type so lucky my dad was there he knew how to turn them on otherwise we would not have known but the whare was nice and warm all night Thank you. we made use of the hot pools my nephew said they were nice and hot. we also used the hangi pit OMG, that was the best putting the kai on when we got there and 3hours later it was ready and dripping off the bone. Take your own roasting tray and foil or hire from the office for $10 or your ID. Can also get a spade for $10hire to go and dig your own hot water spa on the beach, not to far away either. Overall give this place a big thumbs up, could be a little pricey for families on a budget but in saying that they do have bunk rooms down the end there just up stairs which was a bit to hard for my dad and his mobility. Otherwise a great place overall. Look forward to going back. Maybe one hoha was the swipe card cause there were two families we had to pass the swipe card around.
