We stayed here 3 nights in a 4 bed dorm during christmas period. The owners and their children are super friendly and make you feel very welcome and personal. We had a potluck dinner and secret santa on christmas day. Clean kitchen and bathroom and cosy living area. Only negative points, toilets and showers are in the kitchen area and are often occupied. People were drinking and talking loud till night in the central garden which kept us awake 2 nights. Overall good stay.
I recently stayed at this hostel and it was a great experience. Anya and her team were really welcoming and there was a really good atmosphere (I'm not quite sure how other reviewers had come to the opposite conclusion!). I stayed in the 6 bed dorm and it was clean and tidy, the same for the kitchen and bathrooms. The main office safe was available to store valuables too. A laundry room is available for use 12pm-10pm which was never full while I was staying here. The staff were very happy to give recommendations and help book activities if needed. The hostel is located around 10 minutes walk from the city centre but, as a result, is quiet outside at night as it us in a residential area. There are also off-street parking spaces too. Overall a really great stay and would…
One of the best hostels I have stayed in. Friendly and helpful staff. Little touched like having eggs for purchase or an honesty box drinks fridge was great. Clean hostel throughout. Comfy beds....even the bunks. Reception was so helpful with booking activities and giving advice. Definitely recommend.
We were made very welcome. The rooms were large and clean, really nice rooms compared to other hostels. The kitchen was very clean and large. The toilets and showers were cleaned so regularly they didn’t have a chance to get messy. The hostel was quiet and the beds were super comfortable (especially after sleeping in a tent). Everything was just super clean, really definitely worth the 30 bucks a night (a steal). Super nice owner and staff, really friendly and always ready to help! And also cleaning facilities for clothes, an added bonus many hostels don’t come with. Definitely recommend if you need a place to stay in Rotorua.
This was the first hostel I’ve stayed in, and it was truly amazing. The dorms were a good size and the beds were comfy. We also had access to the kitchen, hot showers, toilets and a lounge area. There was also free WiFi. This hostel is in a great location as there is a countdown and many others shops just across the road. It is also only a 5 minute walk from the city centre. Would definitely recommend.
