I would honestly give this experience a negative 10 if i could! Do not book here! Don’t waste your money. Janine, if that’s even her real name, is an absolute troll of a person. She was RUDE, very unreasonable & even booted us out of the venue earlier than expected without a valid reason and refused to refund us for the final night. She is in the wrong line of work and should really look at finding a workplace where she only has to engage with herself and a mirror as she does not seem to like people, especially those who are coloured. She even went so far as to make up lies about our group so she could feel validated for kicking us out before check-out time, threatened to call the police, and then proceeded to harass us till we vacated the premises. Made us feel unsafe by taking photos of the rooms while we were trying to pack up and leave at her demand. She is very fortunate that we were a Christian group and that we know the Lord. The rooms needed upgrading, room 19 in particular. The microwave was rusty, my 11 year old nephew was absolutely disgusted at the sight of it. The lights weren’t working in some of the areas which made the room quite dark. The plunge pool was dirty, so we didn’t get to use it. The water pressure in the shower was an absolute joke, you barely got anything which made showering longer then usual. Especially when washing your hair. You also had to fiddle with the knob for a long time to get the perfect temperature for a warm shower. The fridge didn't have any cooling mechanism whatsoever, which was disappointing as we had ice packs that needed freezing for a tournament we were down for. The sofa bed was not comfortable at all. Need to provide more bedding for those who end up having to use the sofa bed. The entire experience was very disappointing. The amount of time spent at the place was 730pm-730am. Saturday evening, march 2nd. Please, if you want the business to succeed, get rid of Janine. She is not an asset to your company, she’s just an ass.

Unfortunately, I have to give a 1-star review due to our terrible experience Please take a moment to read our story: We reserved accommodation for four people through booking.com and received confirmations from both the booking platform and Wylie Court Motor Lodge (screenshot attached). Upon arrival, we were met with a shocking discovery; the motel had downgraded our room to accommodate only two guests. The receptionist displayed arrogance and refused to acknowledge our original booking confirmation, insisting that they had only received a reservation for two. Despite our attempts to show her the confirmation, she wasn't interested and offered no assistance or solution, except for one piece of 'advice'—to avoid booking through booking.com(then why do you list your property there???). In our time of need, booking.com assured us our reservation was for four people and made attempts to rectify the situation by communicating with the motel's owner or finding us an alternative. Yet they were met with a brick wall, as Wylie Court Motor Lodge stubbornly refused to lift a finger The situation worsened when, as we attempted to leave, the receptionist branded me "dishonest" without any provocation, and another staff member insisted on "examining" the room. Considering we spent barely 30 minutes in the room while on the phone with booking.com, this was both amusing and frustrating. There was simply nothing of value to justify such concern in this outdated establishment. What should be clear is this: whether the error was on the part of booking.com or the motel, the booking site at least tried to help. Meanwhile, Wylie Court Motor Lodge not only turned us away but also insulted us without cause. I strongly advise against staying at Wylie Court Motor Lodge. This experience has been an unpleasant one, filled with unnecessary trouble and insult. It might be wise for the motel to reconsider its partnership with booking.com if it cannot honor the reservations made through the site. I'll be sharing this review widely and informing friends, family, and my network to steer clear of this place. - A ten-year loyal customer of booking.com, profoundly disappointed by Wylie Court Motor Lodge.

Rooms spacious but dated, poorly maintained and dirty. Bins and towels from previous guests still present. The spa pool was a health hazard! Smelly, grimy, unclean and lots of dirt lying in it. Ugh! But worst was the snide and sarcastic manner of the host Judith. Superficially pleasant but you don't want to get on the wrong side of her ! Check out her posted replies to any complaints and look for the not so hidden sarcasm. She was also having " problems with rooms" so asked that she cancel our Expedia booking and that we pay her directly instead " at a cheaper rate*....but didn't do the cancellation through Ezpedia and I had to go to them direct to try to get our refund. Just lucky I noticed the cancellation email Judith sent me wasn't right and I could screenshot a copy of it o Expedia. Bit of a scam there? We left after one night due to cleanliness. Were told by Judith's husband our 2nd night would be refunded ...but had to leave our card details as he didn't know how to do it.!!!!! Not surprisingly refund didn't appear. Had to chase and finally got 40%, not 100% back. Still keeping an eye on card ffor unauthorised withdrawals..... Rude sarcastic and unhelpful responses to any calls. Beware!!

Would give 0 star if option's given, NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY, DO NOT book with them if you are travelling with young children and don't want uncertainties. PLEASE READ OUR EXPERIENCE BELOW PATIENTLY. We book a one night accommodation at Wylie Court Motor Lodge in Rotorua for 21/10/2023. 7pm tonight (one night before check in) , we received a phone call from the motel advising we were supposed to check in on he 20th. I checked my booking confirmation, it clearly said check in was on 21/10/2023. I called the motel back, the motel staff said they didn't know what happened, they said the information bookings.com dropped off for them was on the 20th, anyway there was no room available on the 21st. The staff offered alternative accommodation but not providing any details (eg. Location, size of the room, cleaness, facility etc) on the alternative accomodation. When we said we didn't want alternative accommodation as we were travelling with a minor (4 year old) and wouldn't consider anything we were not sure of, the staff became verbally rude/abusive and hung up. Considering our trip was due the next day, I called back, and she kept repeating "now I'm going to talk and you listen!" said "even if you show up tomorrow with your four year old, you won't be provided a place to stay". She hung up to me again, the following times that I called back, the calls just went straight into voice mails. It's very clear that Wylie Court intended to dishoner its booking and force customer to accept alternative accommodation in threat of no other accommodation in the surrounding region would be available for the night appointed, under the awareness that we would be travelling with a minor and would not have any options. As a result, we cancelled our Rotorua trip, all prepaid tours were forfeited and we are in the process of negotiating with Wylie Court in travel loss compensation. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE travelling to Rotorua Rigion, the standard of customer service was below unacceptable.

The outdoor area needed a good tidy up was not even swept. We have stayed here previous years and it was not up to its usual standard. Very sad indeed. Would not recommend. Sent a request to state matters of interest and got no reply poor.

Our stay at Wylie was excellent. The location is ideal for both town and the redwoods Park. The staff were super friendly, and went over and above to help us out (even with bikes!). Would stay again!

Interior dated I would say at least. Heated family pool - NOPE ice cold. Private courtyard with small private mineral pool - not operational for VERY longtime. Stacks of excuses why nothing is working! Playground - all equipment been removed! Taken the business over 3 weeks ago!! This Motel might as well just be handed over as Emergency accommodation provider just like their other business, Rotorua International. On paying our bill at Wylie Court, receipt issued as Rotorua International - I smell a rat!! Goodluck to Judith and all her staff. I will NEVER stay there again nor market their business

Good accommodation for a stay in Rotorua. Other than being a bit dated, we found this to be a pretty good motel. Our unit was reasonably spacious with one double bed downstairs in the main living area and another on an upstairs mezzanine. The kitchen had a fridge, microwave and two cooktop hobs. Everything was clean and tidy. Car park space was immediately outside the unit. Pricing was reasonable. Location was good on Fenton Street - about a half hour walk into downtown Rotorua.

A little dated in the interior decor but the two story unit we got for our family of four was otherwise excellent. Pretty spacious with a nice wee balcony and private courtyard it also had a private spa pool. If you have kids that can’t not climb railings then ask for a single story unit as the top area might not be for you. The family pool was nice and warm with a lovely poolside area with bbq and seating. The playground could be expanded from a couple of swings to make it top notch for young families. Lovely service, they were all too happy to accommodate our needs and advise us on places to go or eat. Wifi was pretty stable and good parking. Will definitely stay here again.
