From the time we pulled in, Catherine was an exceptional hostess. She helped us carry in our bags, showed us around the house, gave us information/maps/recommendations, she even booked tours for us! We stayed in the Rachel Springs room which was cozy with a semi private deck and chairs outside. Breakfast was always delicious and the hostess was very helpful but not too overbearing to where we couldn't enjoy our alone time. Highly recommend!

We really could not fault the accommodation and service here. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with a screened outdoor seating area if the weather is fine (which unfortunately it was not on the evening we stayed). The property is a mile or so from the centre of Rotorua so a short drive and Catherine offered her husband to give us a lift into the centre and a drive by the waterfront and the Government Gardens. Then as the rain came on very heavily he looped round to drop us at the entrance to a covered area where most of the restaurants are and pointed out the taxi rank to get back again. What service!

Conveniently situated in Rotorua, The Springs is a delightful surprise. While you can't tell from the front, the interior is like something out of Architectural Digest! The rooms are extremely well appointed, with all the amenities you could possibly need. Catherine, the owner of the B&B, is tremendous, with a real focus on service and ensuring you enjoy your time in her home and her city. We spent two wonderful nights at The Springs and were sorry we couldn't stay longer.

Hostess was super helpful and friendly, room was clean, air conditioned, breakfast was perfect. This place just went the extra mile. Location is just far enough from the centre to be quiet but close enough that you can get anywhere with ease. Do yourself a favour and stay here.

This place is wonderful and Catherine is quite exceptional in making you feel welcome and helping you plan your outings. Room was great...superb air conditioning which was needed! Catherine and Andy, the owners, have thought of everything to make your stay perfect. The house is gorgeous and the rooms really tastefully decorated. We even had a walk in wardrobe room with space for 2 large suitcases! Outside our room was a private garden patio, seating area which was lovely and shaded - very welcome as it was very hot during our stay. Nothing was too much trouble and Catherine had loads of advice and tips to maximise our stay. The breakfasts were lovely too. Would thoroughly recommend stopping here and being spoilt! If we come to NZ again, we will come back!
