Hotel's Favourite

Very friendly staff, great stay

Spent 2 nights here, ideally located to the racecourse for a function & close to town. Our room was spacious & provided all we need for a great stay, including a spa. The staff in all areas were friendly & helpful. A great Grab one deal! We will be back. Thank you Rydges.

Good value for a Grabone deal

We come here every year on a grab one voucher. The rooms are a bit old and need some tlc, a long with shampoo, conditioner, and soap.... apart from that, the room has a spa, is spacious and clean, so for what we pay, inclusive of a gym, and $20 voucher per night for drinks or…

We were disappointed with this hotel. It does not deserve a four star rating. On the positive side, the rooms were very large, and we did have a view of the lake, as advertised. However, we were told that the hotel has a pool, and it turns out that the pool closed two years ago.…

Almost all the guests on the front page of the reviews (1-10) have good things to say about this hotel then why overall only 59% reviewers have recommended it and hotel is ranked a dismal 59th out of 94? In a small town like Rotorua I would expect Rydges to be in top three if not the best.

I am not entirely sure how the rating system works through trip advisor, however we are committed to redeveloping our product offering to meet the needs of our guests. The addtiion of FREE WIFI, our RISE Breakfast and Dream Beds are just a few initiatives that we have recently adopted in this area. More recently the teams effort and passion in this area has been recognised and appreciated by Trip advisor travellers.
