Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A lot of motels are the same, nice but it's just a motel. What set Ripple apart for me was the personal service. The staff were very friendly, I felt they were personally involved and I wasn't just a customer. I rang before booking to ensure I was getting what I was looking for and the folks who own Ripple were great to talk to and rang several times to ensure things were ok.

This is a surprisingly great place to stay! A hidden gem! To start off, Chloe and another staff mentor, who checked us in were so friendly, helpful, personable, went out of their way! Our room was so spacious, clean, lots of amenities (including hot tub and air con)! Behind our room was a beautiful sanctuary. We highly recommend room 12! The hotel is centrally located but hidden off the Main Street and is very quiet! Highly recommend!!

Everything about this place is amazing. We did have a few issues with hot water and the spa bath kept turning itself on randomly throughout the day and night which was a bit spooky, but just turned it off from electric box.it however didn’t detract at all from the experience. I did have a lovely relaxing jacuzzi bath every afternoon we were there with a cold glass of bubbly. The staff are all totally amazing and if it were up to me would get a huge pay rise!!!😂😂😂. I have to say a huge thank you goes to Kara who went above and beyond for us as she volunteered to drop me at the supermarket when she finished work as we were a bit stuck we didn’t have a car & the motel doesn’t do meals on Sunday nights.so she very kindly took me to get some food. The other staff we met Poppie & Kirstine (I really hope I have spelt their names correctly)were also really friendly knowledgeable and welcoming.we had room 10 which is closest to the restaurant and has 2 bedrooms, kitchen and living room.it was a very good size for us with quite a bit of room & as I say a jacuzzi out the back which was private. There is also a lovely stream walk which took 10 mins at the most but was very peaceful charming and relaxing.there is a short 9 hole mini golf or pitch & putt not sure which,it was easy fun with an awful lot of cheating from everyone otherwise we would have been there all day. We also played pooh sticks (which a lot of you will have to look up)you cross the stream twice,so 2 chances!!!wonderful.took us all back to our childhood. This place is amazing mainly because of the staff but also very homely and easy going with no problem if you want etc towels or milk, whatever you want or need. Absolutely brilliant and we would all definitely stay here again Once again aHUGE THANK YOU TO ALL THE STAFF AND HOUSEKEEPING STAFF.we hope to see you all soon.

We were supposed to stay at their other property, but due to an unexpected geyser, they had to close. Ripple was nice and clean. A little noise from the road. Room backed on to a beautiful stream. The best part of staying here was the restaurant! Ate there two nights in a row and were very pleased with the food and the service. Book early! Not far away is a trout farm. we went there one afternoon because we didn't have anything else planned. It was definitely a worthwhile experience.

Kia ora, We are so glad to hear you still enjoyed your stay here in Rotorua- even after the change in circumstances of accommodation. Our sister property 'Aura' is pretty aura-some too- but we are glad we made up for it! Mary-Ann is an amazing chef, we are lucky to have her in The Brook. We hope to host you again sometime in the future- safe travels onwards. Nga mihi, Team Ripple

Had an amazing weekend here at Ripple. A few family’s all with young children met here for the weekend and this was the perfect spot. First impression was everything was tidy and clean and we were greeted by the most friendly staff. Everything was super easy and hassle free. Rooms were very spacious and private outdoor spa looking into the farmland next door was a real treat. Kids had a blast in the swimming pool, spa, games room and mini golf and super handy walk over the road for a day up the luge. We had dinner at the restaurant one night which was top class. Food was on point and service was great. Overall a very enjoyable stay and we will definitely be back.

This is my first time staying here. It was a nice place to stay. It has the basic amenities. It has a small kitchen where you can cook up your own meals which is important to me as I’m GF. It also has a restaurant on site that made room for us without reservations which I’m thankful for. The staff were lovely. The hotel is 2min away from the luge and mini golf. You can leave your car at the hotel and walk across the road. They have a pool which isn’t very deep if you kneel in the pool your head is still above the water. But it’s good enough to have a splash around in and refresh yourself before you start your day and to relax in at the end of the day after you have been out exploring.

Lovely little motel. We came from the Aura sister motel as we decided to extend our stay here and so pleased we did. Excellent staff. Restaurant food was top notch. We had a room overlooking the steam with a hot tub. Was a bit noisy at night with traffic noise tho as not double glazed. Would still highly recommend.

Excellent motel with magnificent staff who couldn't do enough for you. The motel had great facilities including kitchenette, a pool, spa, laundry and a restaurant on site. There was also a stream running through the property which added to our experience. It's in a great location within walking distance to a gondola and short drive to other attractions. Whilst the room was not large it was well appointed and comfortable. Highly recommended.

Had a fantastic weekend away with the family at Ripple Rotorua. Three bedroom unit was very spacious, well equipped and the spa ideal for all to enjoy. Communal areas kept on giving with the pool, games room and mini putt all being heavily used - perfect entertainment for the whole family. Dinners at the restaurant were also high quality. Great location too with a short hop over to the Luge. Thanks for having us Ripple Rotorua - we’ll be back for sure!
