We asked multiple times for the room to be cleaned--each time the front desk assured us it would be cleaned. It never was. We requested the room to be cleaned the night before, reminded them when we left in the morning for our tour 8am. We returned at 1:00pm, room was not cleaned. We asked again before we went for our afternoon tour. Returned at 5pm, again it was not cleaned. We went out for dinner, and not cleaned at all. When we complained, front desk said they couldn't do anything about it. They have no control on housekeeping. We requested fresh towels, never got them. There were dirty dishes next to our room, they never got picked up. The front desk and hotel management are inept and very difficult to deal with. We asked for any recommendations on restaurants--they had none. The breakfast buffet was understaffed, and dishes were not replenishd in a timely manner. Overall, I would stay clear from this hotel. There is nothing walking distance from the hotel.

Beds were great, room big. Bathroom very very tired, def needs an update to the point of grungy. Staff not the friendliest or helpful. Location a bit out of town but ok. Lots of parking and free. Was shocked when I arrived early and the room was ready I was told it would be $40 per hour to access it- never experienced that before. Won’t be recommending this hotel.

The room was spacious and the staff friendly, there was ample car parking available. The hotel was within walking distance of restaurants and supermarkets as well as the lake and shops. The heat pump in the room was a bonus and the private spa was a clever idea, and we had a balcony and a view of the racetrack. The bed was comfortable, and the room was warm. There were sufficient amenities in the bathroom except we were lacking one toilet roll as two small rolls were left on the holders. The shower was a bit dirty and needed a deep cleaning. The kitchenette only had two teaspoons and no dishwash liquid or a tea towel. There was a lack of both room information and hotel information in the room. There were Q R codes in the room to scan to get information about everything but once scanned they lead nowhere as it said they were not connected. We would stay again as despite everything we found it value for money and worth staying.

I have visited 3x in the last 3 weeks for mahi. The service is on point. John (Hone) in the food and beverage area is sooo friendly. The food is really lovely, staff are friendly and always willing to go above and beyond. Room service was lovely, the breakfast buffet was delish!! Front desk staff are always accommodating to any requests I may have.
Only concern is the lifts need to be sprayed with air freshener.
The rooms are standard, they cater for what I need on my business trip.
I have brought colleagues and staff to stay at this Hotel also. Will continue to use this Hotel for my business trips when I stay.

We booked 2 nights in a suite and honestly it was like going back in time ! It was probably quite a fancy hotel 30 years ago, but whoever thinks this is acceptable accommodation needs their head read. The place needs a thorough clean, outside and inside. There were two overflowing rubbish bins outside the front of the hotel which were never emptied the whole time we were there. You walk into the foyer and there’s furniture plonked everywhere…like in a furniture store. It wouldn’t take too much brain-power for someone to arrange them nicely and in an inviting configuration? Mind you, the furniture is so out of date maybe just burning it would be a better idea. Pool is closed…forever apparently. Our room was a so-called suite but again it was filled with all this ugly wooden furniture that just needs to be thrown off the balcony and set alight! The bathroom omg was so so old. The kitchen was big but didn’t have any plates or cutlery…just 2 teaspoons! My husband had breakfast one morning in the hotel and said that the hot food was cold, so we didn’t go back. I think honestly the place needs bulldozing. I don’t recommend you stay there.

Stayed in a superior room and found the rooms to be clean, comfortable and cozy. Beds are the most comfortable beds you have ever slept on. Bath tubs with showers are provided in the superior rooms which are handy if you have little ones and don't want to fill a big spa just to bath them. Heat pump ensures room is always warm. Enjoyed our stay alot.

We spent 2 nights with our children. Amazing doesn't come close to describing our stay. The staff went above and beyond, especially the service staff for breakfast. So helpful, friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and the staff were first class, especially John I think he was called who was in charge of running the breakfast service. The room was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and room was toasty and warm even with the cold nights. We can't wait to return and will be recommending the hotel to family and friends. The staff should all be so proud of the amazing job they do and we truly appreciate the fantastic service we received during our stay.

This hotel is a 25 minute walk away from the main town. The room was huge. It had a kitchenette, large living room from the bedroom with a huge bathtub. The bed and pillow were very comfortable. The balcony overlooked the racetrack behind the hotel. The room could use a floor to ceiling cleaning as there were cobwebs and some mold in areas. We did not utilize the breakfast area. I bet in its hey day, this was quite the place to stay!

Comfortable beds. Hotel is dated, plumbing is quite noisy, lift was not working. We only stayed one night, so it was fine, accommodation availability in Rotorua is very limited and quite expensive for what it is, it all looks to be a bit old.

We really enjoyed going down for breakfast each morning and being greeted by John the food and beverage manager and his chef. They were both so kind and hospitable making the start of the day special. Thank you very much team most appreciated 👍
