Stayed here for 5 nights and found the staff friendly and very helpful. Room service amazing and the room itself was unparalleled. 11/10 would highly recommend and definitely will stay again next time!!
Only stayed one night but i was impressed with , service from reception staff , the room was a good size, very clean and well laid out - i did not eat at the restaurant I will use this as based when on business in Rotorua from now on.
Hospitality: It was off to an 'okay' start when we checked in but the service picked up a bit later on. A huge thanks to their exceptional staff from the front desk who made the difference (there were 2 of them that stood out but we didn't catch their name!) Especially to the lady that was always there to greet us with a huge smile every morning before we head to the restaurant for breakfast; we loved that she made an effort to ask how we're going and always insisted to let them know if there's anything else that we need (we really felt like the only guests in the hotel) - unfortunately, we didn't get her name but we see her every morning and she's always had her hair up in a bun. We also wanted to make sure that the restaurant staff get their own recognition - from the breakfast, lunch, and dinner crew, to the bar staff - just everyone really... they have all been so exceptionally friendly, hospitable, and amazing. We had great chats, menu food recommendations, and of course DELICIOUS food (the signature BBQ chicken wings were divine!) My partner raved about the whole experience and definitely wanted to go back, not for Rotorua/location but just to enjoy staying in Pullman again (haha). It says a lot about how the manager runs the place, so we think he deserves to be recognised too for doing such an incredible job and having incredible hotel crew! Location: Pretty much in the middle of everything. If you want to explore different places to eat then there's plenty of choices to choose from within a short walk from the Hotel. If you want to go for a night stroll around town, you can easily do a loop walk from the hotel to the waterfront, down to the Government Gardens and back. We enjoyed how easy it is to go around without having to take the car out for a drive unless needed. Other things to note: - Pullman will ask for $100 bond for every night of your stay. Honestly, we were caught off guard by this as we paid cash/debit card and did not use our credit card. It was a minor inconvenience but kind of dampen our first impression of the hotel. - No free parking available on site, $45 p/n valet parking if you want to park in the hotel premises. Not a big deal for us but it might be for others. We just thought that $45 is worth the convenience and peace of mind of knowing our car is safe and looked after. - No proper bathroom and toilet - Hotel layout is definitely on the 'unique' side of things. It is an open plan layout; the shower and toilet are covered by frosted glass with the sink in between. If you're travelling with a partner, then it's not a problem but it may be if it's with a friend (or someone who hasn't seen what you look like getting out of the shower at least).…
Great experience overall. The staff were fantastic! Minor issue in room resolved in minutes. Comfortable stay with complete blackout drapes and very quiet, although the bed could have been a bit softer. Good location. Would happily stay again.
We have stayed here twice in the past two months. The staff here are amazing - very pleasant and accommodating from front of house, to restaurant and bar, and even the cleaners give you a smile and wave. Our room was lovely, great view of the lake, soft bed, very clean, and of course the treats in our room to welcome us are always appreciated. Parking is expensive per night especially when you realise ( by all the water on your car in the morning ) that vehicles are not parked under cover. Yes - they may be off the street but that's it. We met friends for dinner on our first night there. Imagine our surprise when we sat down to dinner to be shown the Lunch Menu and told that because they had had one conference plus guests staying who were attending other conferences they had all but run out of food!! This is unacceptable. If you know there is a massive influx of guests coming you order accordingly. It's not as if no one knew there were going to be several conferences on at the same time. It's called planning ahead. And when you ask what the Soup of the Day is and you are told Pumpkin that's what should arrive - not steaming bowls of Mushroom. Luckily no one was allergic to mushroom. It's the little things which matter - gets those right and everything else falls into place. I realise that many hotels are just getting up and running again and that there will be glitches but Pullman is 5 Star and needs to up it's game to show that they are.…
We stayed there for 2 nights over the Labour weekend 2022. Firstly we arrived to find their off street valet parking had gone from 20 dollars last year to 45, (the hotel has only P180 parking outside it.) The room was not a $350 value room, the toilet was next to the bed area, no sky tv or netflix. We came back at 4pm from the pools to find our room was not made, no clean towels, had to go down to reception and complain to get towels, no one answered the phone. Overall it was an expensive Faulty Towers experience. (they temporarily lost my car keys too).
Modern upmarket hotel. Large lakefront facing room, huge windows, nice furnishings and beautiful sleep comfort. Pleasant attentive staff. Extensive menu a little pricey given you have to pay for all side dishes. Happy hour every day 4pm to 6pm
As usual, the service and attention to detail was more than expected. Having been greeted with smiles and a warm welcome makes Pullman Rotorua a home away from home but with special perks! Thank you for making our stay quite relaxing and enjoyable. Thank you very much!!
The Pullman Rotorua has the best staff. They are so helpful and friendly & show a genuine desire to provide great service. Our room was available early so this was handy to drop our bags & go for a walk. We enjoyed lunch, dinner & breakfast in the restaurant. The shared lamb rack Saturday night was gorgeous & cooked to perfection. It was nice to see Krystal and Zara again who looked after us for the evening. Sunday breakfast was busy but the Chef still delivered a beautifully presented omlette which was so light, fluffy & tasty. We look forward to returning soon as the Pullman is our favourite Rotorua hotel.
This hotel charges that of a 5 star. On first impressions, it seems to deliver, until you approach the desk and are told you will have to park on the street. Guests are then charged a bond of $100 per night...more than that of other 5 star hotels with brilliant service. While our room was nice, it was not clean, with tables covered in the leftovers of previous guests. After our first day of enjoying the activities Rotorua has to offer, we returned to find that shower gel, toilet paper etc had not been replenished, surfaces had not been wiped down and only 2 towels provided for a family room. Not cool. When we asked reception for a couple more towels we were met with an extremely rude answer. The same happened the next day as well. Yes the Pullman may look the part, but do not judge a book by its cover. The hotel's great location is undermined by the lack of attention to detail and downright rude staff. Very disappointin. We will not be returning.…
