This was the only motel we could find last minute and ended up staying a few nights over January. The place is a little old, but rooms we had for 2 adults 1 child were clean, including bedding and towels. Anything that was amiss, broken tv/fan were replaced immediately. They will top up your coffees, tea satchets, have microwave, kettle and electric camp stove top, bar fridge. Laundry room where you can grab the key from the office.. washing machine and dryer. A good basic motel with 24hr BP service station if you need something that cannot wait. Room price reasonable for this time of year. Location perfect, far enough away from CBD and other motels were being trashed by homeless pre covid. 5min walk to Whakarewarewa - recommended!

This budget priced motel is not bad value for the money. A bit old and a bit tired looking. Clean. Nice big unit - lots of space. Hot pool on-site which is great. Plenty of tea and coffee. Some minor improvements would help though. No soap, shampoo or conditioner. And poorly lit. No light over the queen bed and the main bulb is very dim. Hope your eyesight is good if you want to read. I would like to have given a higher score but I have stayed in similar value motels before and never been left without soap and shampoo.

We stayed in school holidays when it was very busy, we were two families in adjoining rooms. Staff were friendly and helpful, yep the decor is a bit tired but it was clean and had everything we needed and it's really handy for the Redwoods and MTB park, Whakarewarewa Maori Village and Pohutu geyser, golf and not too far from town. It is on a busy road and I found the logging trucks going past at night noisy, but nobody else in our group had a problem with this. I would stay here again. Great onsite free hotpools too.

This is a 1960s style motel which is still trapped in the 60s. A flat screen tv in the room is the closest it has come to 2024. The small fridge still contained food from a previous visit which according to the management was the previous night but was frozen. Kitchenette drawers contained food from previous visits. When I went looking for thecTV remote it was found under one of the beds. Rotorua suffers from many motels being used for govt emergency housing. Whilst this one is not on the list it caters for the bottom end of the market something I was unaware of. Would I stay here again ? Never happen. For a few dollars more per night there are better quality facilities within easy reach

Disgusting place. We booked and were given room 6, arrived, could not use the dishes as were grubby and covered in food. We had not used anything in the room/bathroom and saw water leaking on the carpet/waldrobe and the bathroom flooded, we could hear it leaking through the wall. We showed the indian guy who was the manager, who blamed us for the leak in the sink!? He was unbelievably rude. Refused to give a refund, intimated woman by getting in our face saying it was our fault and told us to get out. We left as the room was not usable and flooded. Absolutely disgusting room and unbelievably despicable behavior from the manager! Do not reccomend ever using this hotel. Will be laying a complaint and requiring our money back.

This place is disgusting. Black mould everywhere, stained bedding, broken fixtures, and holes in the wall. It was so disgusting it triggered an asthma attack and put me in hospital. When I told them what happened they refused a refund and ignored me.
Terrible place!

i didnt think motels like this existed it was an experience , On the plus, side easy check in,helpful manager, lots of space , clean bedding, soap, shampoo, , tea coffee and lots of very clean towels, unfortunately everything is run down which is sad because it could be amazing . The blind in the kitchen was very dirty the walls were dirty and the bowls and cups were not clean, but that could be previous people staying. it all felt a bit like the movies. even though it was a very run down place we felt it was an experience

Not a relaxing stay. Overall this place is 30 years overdue for a renovation. Bed was about 50 years old and we could feel every spring in it. We both woke up with sore spots from the springs. The bathroom had fixtures from my grandparents old farmhouse in desperate need of replacing. The shower base was slow to drain so you were standing in near ankle deep water. Then there was the noise from the 24hr service station right out the back door. They had music blaring until 1 am on one night. And did I mention the communal balcony out the back with people stomping up and down all night. If this is your only option be prepared. If you are still able to, find another motel. Not recommended

Stayed here for a night with my partner and I stay in many hotels and it is dated but it is basic and so comfortable. I don't know why there is so many negative reviews. The manager was friendly and what we paid for we knew what to expect! We will come back if we are up that way again. :)

This is the worst Motel I have ever stayed in. the room was dirty wallpaper falling off the kitchen sink was stained I had to Stello it to get it clean.. Linen was very clean the bed was disgusting must have been there for many years. The shower glass was covered in soap scum. Very noisy the only saving grace was the view. Never ever again.
