Great facilities, the bathroom, shower and dining room were all clean and spacious. The kitchen was a bit disappointing as it came with no cookware, crockery or utensils. This was fine because I had my own, but I would have loved to see a coffee plunger at least. The staff were friendly and helpful. I camped and although it was raining, the ground I was on was elevated and didn’t get too soggy. The hot pools are lovely. I suggest going later if you are a solo traveller as families filled up the pools before 6. The price for camping is pretty good considering you have access to the hot pools included.

The staff at reception are absolutely lovely. Unfortunately the cabin needs a lot of work. The towel rail fell off the wall when we opened the door, the mattresses are very lumpy and uncomfortable, the heater didn't work, and the oven was not working well. The people in the neighbouring cabin had a leaking roof with all the rain but the pools were lovely and it is in a great spot to enable access to a lot of adventures. The other disappointing part was that we had to pay $20.00 for wifi when all the other places we have stayed offer it free of charge.

Thank you for your review and sorry you found your cabin not to your liking, our sincerest aploogies as we try very hard to ensure our cabins are maintained accordingly. On a positive note lovely to read you enjoyed our hot pools - these are a big hit all year round.

Upon arrival, we realised our agent booked a cabin that was too small for our liking. Reception was more than happy for us to change to a bigger cabin (at an extended cost). The smell of the thermal pools was very strong here (apparently there's one either side of the park). We were very comfortable in the bigger cabin and it had all the facilities needed.

The staff at reception were so helpful at this well-equipped holiday park. A huge shout out to Anne at reception who could not have been more obliging and friendly when we asked her to recommend places to eat and local activities/experiences, marking everything on a map for us. Thank you, Anne! We were only on the site for one night and we were too busy to explore it fully but our campervan was parked near a large kitchen (with multiple sinks etc) and dining area and a good toilet & shower block. There was a covered walkway which provided relief from the blazing sun. We used the laundry facilities, which were very good, too and bought the laundry powder at reception.

What a team! Everyone from reception to the regulars are so lovely and kind. The facilities are clean, and well kept. Great for smaller and larger families with lots of different room options. Shared bathrooms are large and you’re never short of a toilet or shower. 3 main hot baths that are well sheltered from weather.
Cannot thank the staff enough for the smiles, conversation, and consistent warm nature. We stayed for many days and will be back again!
Close to main city without being in the hustle.
Great facilities for children !

The holiday park was clean and comfortable. The atmosphere was relaxed. While we didn’t have time to use the hot tubs, it was a lovely facility to have access to, especially when camping. The staff were very kind, and were particularly helpful when I lost a ring that meant a lot to me. The staff were all hands on deck to help me and the cleaners were all very generous in their time in trying to assist me in searching for it. Unfortunately, it didn’t show up but I really appreciated all the effort that the staff went to and, as we were leaving, they said they would be in touch if it shows up which I thought was extremely thoughtful.
Just as an aside, if anyone was staying at the park on the 15th July or afterward and came across a silver ring with a green heart with little white crystals on both sides, I would massively appreciate you letting me know or getting in touch with the park. It is not valuable but is hugely significant to me as it was given to me by my grandmother on my 13th birthday (I’m now 34) and it holds a lot of nostalgia for me. It is called a Claddagh ring and is a symbolic ring from Ireland. I will post a picture just in case.
Again, thank you to the lovely staff for everything!

We have been traveling in a camper for the 5th time around New Zealand. We mostly use paid campsites. We are also on this campsite for the 5th time and I was shocked at the hygiene standard in one of the toilets-bathrooms in the block. Probably, this block will undergo renovation, but as of today, in my opinion, it should be out of use for reasons of hygiene safety. The more that I did not notice that the renovation works were in progress. One night at this park is $60 for 2 people

Thanks Renata for your review, our main ablution block has indeed undergone renovations and looks fantastic. The cost of a stay for 2 guests on a powered site is $55.00 not $60.00 as you state. Sorry to read you found our holiday park a disapointment :(.

We rented a 2 bedroom cabin, which I would describe as "Rustic". It's high-end camping. The living room had a huge glass door that slid across and out of the way, so the whole inside was exposed to the outside; quite lovely. The kitchen was large, but not stocked for anyone who wanted to use the oven (had to ask for oven-proof ware). The first night nothing worked so we called and they replaced the microwave and showed us where the circuit breaker was for the stove top (in a cupboard beside the stove). This had to activated before and after using the stove-top! Beds were comfortable; unit was clean; only 2 hangers in the closet. If you're used to camping, this is luxury. P.S. Internet not free and was very iffy.

We camped in a powered lot. The campsite was really easy to find and only 5/10 min drive from the centre of Rotorua.
Everything was clean and there were plenty of toilets/showers and other facilities.
They also have pools including some hot pools which is a lovely addition. We had a great time camping here and would definitely come back again!

Two families hired 2 camper van sites for 2 nights. The booking was made in advance in 2019. On arrival they said they couldn't put our 5 vans together; which we didn't actually book. They then had to look for 2 sites together, giving us 2 sites on very uneven ground and not long enough to reverse the vans onto safely. The attitude and customer staff in reception was indescribable. Anna didn't even look up from her keyboard when holding a conversation with us. We asked for better sites. We had to walk around to find them ourselves. We found 2 but were told they were decommissioned with no electric. We took them anyway as there was no other option. No apologies or compensation was offered.
Then we visited the toilet blocks!! These were awful in every way! Doors missing off toilet cubicles, 2 showers only in each of the 2 blocks. Holes in the shower walls. Rotting walls around the base of the buildings. Human hair everywhere, dirt and rubbish all over the floors. It felt cleaner to avoid using the shower blocks.
The only positive point was its thermal pools (with human dead skin floating around) and its location to the thermal valley across the road.
Each time we approached reception on our arrival we were made to feel very unwelcome and that everything was our own faults!

Sorry to read your review and that our holiday park did not meet your level of expectations. I can assure you our staff try very hard to ensure all our guests have a wonderful experience and due to the high demand with campers and guests over our peak period the Front of House ladies do an incredible job making sure campers in all capacities are sited accordingly. Apologies you found this was not the case.
