The backpackers looks like it was refurbished from the historical building. The layout was a bit all over the place but it did add to its uniqueness. There are a few parking spaces down the driveway but there is a parking lot right outside the building. Just check the meter since it is a paid parking area. We grabbed most of the beds in a 6 person room so it was private for us. I liked how each bed had a different sheet covering so it was easy to pick a bed based on design. I also liked how each bed had a wall socket and a small bedside cabinet to put stuff on. There was a cupboard in our room which got quite hot. We were on the top floor and there were a few bathrooms scattered around. The one closest to us was quite small but did the job, particularly the amazing water pressure in the shower. I wasn't there for check-in but you did have to give a deposit for keys. Check out was fairly easy. Make sure you strip the bed and bring the sheets down to the basket in reception. It was quite a cheap and nice place for a cheeky weekend away.

They did a late checkin for us when we arrived late at 9pm which was kind. Very polite and nice manager and night person. Clean kitchen. Very clean toilets and showers. Everything is old, but serviceable. Lovely and warm with lots of heating. Comfortable bed (we had a king). Not a lot of parking, but we found a space. Lots of on street parking too. Convinient to central shops. Good value. We'll be back. Thanks for a nice stay.

This place is awesome! Clean and well looked after with lots of space. Kitchen is very tidy with plenty of cooking items to use. Also plenty of room to sit as well as a living room and reading room. I really appreciated the helpfulness of the owners; they kindly let me store my things for a few hours after I checked out so I didn’t have to carry them around with me while I was waiting for the Intercity. 10/10 would recommend, especially to any solo travellers wanting a comfortable, quiet, and clean place to stay.

This hostel is quite quirky in a older wooden building. We had a private room which was comfortable and there was plenty of bathrooms and showers to use. Used the kitchen which was large and we'll stocked.
