I booked the Standard Twin Room with Two Queen Beds for 3 nights. It was a very spacious room, had comfortable beds and they offered complimentary continental breakfast. It was value for money. However, I do wish they cleaned their sheets better because when they changed the sheets on the second night, it had a musty damp smell to them. One of the lights did not work in the room, the shower leaked onto the bathroom floor and the wifi connection was terrible towards the end of my stay.

Wish I could give a 0 star, I arrived with my husband and we were booked in a 2 bedroom unit as we were on a family holiday, Our unit was absolutely disgusting it was unclean stains on the chair in our bedroom dust so thick on the ceiling and the stand up fan in our bedroom, I pulled the pillow case off to check the pillow protector was big yellow stains from someones sweat god knows when it was last washed, the kitchen looked like it hadn’t been cleaned food all over the rubbish bin and on the cupboards, the shower door was so thick in soap scum you couldn’t see out of it, also black mold in our bedroom, this place does not take cleaning seriously at all, in the other family units was the same full of dust and black mold in bedrooms holes in the single bed sheets the list goes on. Also the WIFI did not work in the room. Me and my husband paid $160each for 2 nights as we were sharing the 2 bedroom room with 2 other family members, I went to the office to ask for a refund as we were not staying in this disgusting room for 2 nights they refused a refund!! I said I was entitled to a full refund as they are at fault for not caring enough to clean the room and for not having any cleaning standards at all! in the end he only gave me $80 back out of the $320 we paid them!!! they made us pay up front for the room when we arrived before we were allowed to go into it! Which was so sneaky of them to do as they would of known the state of the room!! Me & my husband was so upset they kept our hard earned money and they were at fault not us!! We only stayed in the room for half hour! Thank goodness we managed to find other accommodation at the Regal Palms Resort it was absolutely amazing and so clean so if you come to Rotorua stay at Regal Palm Resort and not this dump! This should be called a back packers not a Hotel!

We stayed here for 2 nights, good value for what we booked, 2 bedroom apartment, old decor and thin walls but the beds were very comfortable. Ample breakfast which was well stocked. The staff on the front desk were great and friendly. You need a car as it is out of Rotorua town centre.

Was a bit hesitant regard to what I had booked after reading some quite bad reviews. All the worry was in vain. Lovely establishment, great brekkie, fantastic staff, welcome very inviting, brilliant pool, comfy beds, what more can I say other than, try this establishment out and enjoy the lovely relaxed atmosphere.

Twin Room - both beds were doubles which was amazing loads of space in the room small kitchen includes a small fridge, microwave, kettle, plates glasses cutlery ect. Kitchen appliances all worked fine. They also supply an iron and iron board. Great location in the middle of everything, about a 5minute drive to the skyline, just under 10 minutes to Lake Rotorua and 10 minutes to the Base. No air con so luckily we had a fan with us. Room has sky tv. Outside area w a table and chairs which we moved into the room to use as our dining table lol. Just a heads up staff come knocking on your door for room service around 930am we just asked if they could come back later. Carpark is out in the middle area where you can easily access your room however if full they have another carpark at the back (rocky trails not smooth concrete and very dark) you’ll have to walk around to your room if you’re on the other side. Overall quite a nice play to stay and staff are friendly.

We had recently stayed at CPG - Lake Rotorua Hotel and had a fantastic stay. The hospitality from KV and the team was next to none, and would not want to stay anywhere else in Rotorua. The team was more than helpful in providing knowledge and expertise on excursions in the area, and went out of their way to book these activities for my partner and myself. Again, a huge thank you to KV and his fantastic team. You guys are awesome !!

Stayed for4 nights while taking part in the Rotorua Marathon. Staying in a twin room with my family. Rooms are a bit tired and facilities a bit basic but we were happy with it for the deal we got. Enjoyed making use of the Spa pool with our young child. On our second day that the toilet was leaking in our room and staff were quick to give us a new room after we let them know about it. Place certainly needs some maintenance in the future but we aren't fussy so was great for us.

A large group of us stayed here. Help at desk was really good (I had to get my room card reset 3 times as it was not working) breakfasts provided are great. Sadly, a lot of the rooms are quite grotty,,in a couple of rooms we moved beds, wow..pity the cleaners don’t do this as well! Think yourself lucky if the hot water runs long enough to complete your shower...just needs a good tidy up and deep clean to be more enjoyable.

Very disappointed with this hotel. There was no smoke alarm in our room, just the attachment on the ceiling. The drain in the sink in the bathroom was in need of a good clean and was not draining properly. The spa was tepid only even though we asked twice if it could be hot. The coffee machine mad cold coffee for breakfast!! The place was dated and the curtains ripped and a bit moldy. No dedicated parking so most had to park in a muddy field out the back. The beds were very soft and we both had sore backs after staying there. All this I was going to ignore but unfortunately I left a small book behind and I had to contact them not the other way round. I spent ages looking, an email would have been appreciated. They want $30 to send the book to me. Unbelievable. Will never go back and suggest others don't stay.
