Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

70 NZ$ for a motel room with all facilities in central Rotorua is a great deal - that's backpacker prices. Nice staff and room.

If you are looking for a bed and a toilet and don’t want to pay through the nose this is great.

Yes it’s old, worn, and very basic but this is reflected in the price. The WiFi is brilliant but the TV has 3 useless channels. The bed is rubbish and the walls are paper thin.

However for rotorua it’s cheap and cheerful. Definitely an option for a budget traveller.

Somewhat tired, but reasonable value for money. Needed a good spring-clean and repaint. Good to have a decent couch to sit in. Our unit had lots of room - I suspect those with more beds were tighter. Didn't see a lot of the hosts, which was fine - they left us to it. Reception had lots of travel idea brochures. Close enough to town if you had transport - maybe 15 minutes (flat) walk otherwise. Closer to other attractions on the south side of town. Easy to find. Parking was free, but tight if other guests weren't careful. Some noise from other units, but bearable. Plenty of hot water in shower; pressure average.

Room Tip: We were downstairs. I imagine upstairs was quieter.

We booked this accomodation on Wotif and looked at reviews on Tripadvisor and Wotif.
Realised it was economical but reviews appeared to be ok.
We paid then given key to room. It was dreadful and asked for refund which was declined,
Found alternative accomodation. I would recommend you look before you pay.

Booked for 3 nights. Saw the room and started hunting for another motel . Grease up the walls described as having a cooker in the kitchen which was 2 elements which needed cleaned. The whole unit was filthy. I would never stay there. We got another motel. To be fair we were refunded 2 nights without question.

Very basic but clean. Needs a makeover but it is all there. Pricing a bit high, possibly needs a review. It would be good if the cigarette ends were cleared away by supplying ashtrays at the units. I do not smoke but the evidence of others is unfortunately there to be seen. Shower superb, better than at home and plenty of hot water. I will stay again as it is central, traffic noise not a problem for me. Just price accordingly and keep at it.

Were stoaked as with this room, super clean, heaps of room and were happy as with us keeping bikes in the room. Super friendly owner! Chose because of the low price and were pleasantly surprised! And unlimited free wifi! Choice as!

Very affordable and came with everything we needed. Staff were very nice but also gave us the privacy we needed. Not too far from supermarket, The Warehouse, McDonald's and the mall. Walls were quite thin so had to be extra quiet and rooms weren't anything fancy but overall GREAT accommodation at an affordable price.
