We reserved 2x 2brm apartments for our family, plus additional family in other rooms. I usually have quite low expectations when staying in studio apartments, however from the moment we stepped inside, we were pleasantly surprised and delighted. This continued throughout our stay.
The rooms were very well kept and clean, the couches were so comfy. We also had the best rooms (ask for #1 and #2) for direct access out to the pool. The daily housekeeping service was also fantastic. Coming back from activities to a clean and tidy room was so nice.
The management were also so lovely and accommodating to our requests. Would definitely recommend this motel to anyone coming to stay!

A group of 9 of us booked in for 5 days, we paid and booked quite a long way ahead. When we arrived, our bookings were quite muddled! We found our allotted studio rooms were very close to the main road out of Paihia to Kerikeri and extremely noisy! We had to use ear plugs to sleep. However the beds were very comfortable and servicing excellent. I guess we got what we paid for as the room rate was quite cheap. If you do stay here, go for a room at the back of the motel complex.

Needed a reasonably priced one night stop en route home. This motel is tired. Needs renovation. 3 of the 4 gas hobs didn’t work, and due to a power outage in the night, there wasn’t any hot water in the morning. Staff very pleasant, offered another apartment to use for showering. We had a 4 bed spacious apartment, no bedside lamps though. Owners need to invest in upgrading to ensure future survival. Can walk into Paihia in around 20 mins with great views along the way over the Bay of Islands.

We had trouble finding the Motel because the sign light wasn't on. I had received a text message with our room number and lockbox code to get into our room. There was no lighting so used a mobile phone then a torch from out of our suitcase. The numbers were metal so reflected back which made it hard to know if we had put in the correct number. Lucky I had a phone number on the text message just in case we had any problems. The lady (Anita) was sorry that we had been given the wrong number. She called the security people who arrived shortly after she did. Anita then went out of her way by taking Mum, who is 83, to find something for our dinner. We had booked an Access room so extremely surprised to find a spa bath with a shower in it.
The next day Mum sorted a room change with the cleaner when reception was not open. We were all happy with the room. The beds were all really comfortable. The view out to the swimming pool made it look inviting. Unfortunately, our room was not cleaned the next day. We were out from 9 until 1 pm by which time the cleaners had left. We stopped at reception on our way out after 3. She told my husband that the cleaners had been really busy and they didn't have time to do our room. We just wanted clean towels which seemed to be too much trouble for her.
Upon getting back to our room at about 7 we noticed a large group of people using the swimming pool. We tried to go to sleep but the noise outside just kept getting louder. I ended up ringing Anita after midnight who surprisingly answered the phone and said she would send security around. I heard a man yell out for them to get out of the pool because there had been a complaint. The next morning Anita texted to apologise letting us know a staff member was staying at the Motel.

Very impressed with this lovely quiet motel, the facilities were great, quality linens, comfy beds, excellent selection of teas/coffees, very well equipped kitchenette and bathroom, huge flat screen TV, reclining sofa, air con. Large terrace area overlooking the pool. Nice pool area for some R&R with a gorgeous lush back drop. BBQ's nice seating. Located next door to Woolworths shop which was really handy. Although rather dated (reflected in the price) this was excellent value for money and very comfortable. Tash was so friendly and helpful, we will definitely come back.

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon trip to Paihia.
The value for money is ok, I guess. But two single beds pushed together does not make a "king" (I've got a king bed and I never once fell into a crevasse in the middle of it) and open windows and a fan next to the TV is a very creative boast of "air-conditioning".
But hey, the room was well cleaned so there's that.

The rooms are small and very basic but clean. We were near a very busy road so quite noisy. It's also next door to countdown supermarket so trucks pulling in from around 5am with deliveries which were also very noisy. The pool is a real disappointment. It looks nothing like the picture. It is filthy and there is a bare wire where a light has broken in the pool so it should have been closed but wasn't. There is no way I was going to risk swimming in there. If its a pool you are after don't stay here would be my advice

Such a good layout for the whole family and right by the pool. staff were so kind in helping us find new things to do and the best places for food and kept the room clean. would come back again anytime. Very good location that was right next to a countdown.

We paid about $150/night for 2 bedrooms for 4 people. The place was pretty much what you would expect.
The good - It was clean (although the long pile light brown carpet takes away from that impression a bit), with friendly staff on tidy grounds. It had a decent size TV, pool and basic cooking facilities. Reasonably quiet - mostly, ample parking a short drive from Paihia and Waitangi.
Limitations - No bedside tables or alarm clock. Being next to countdown (visible out the main windows) there is some noise at 7:30ish when the trucks roll in - not too bad. Pool views.
Overall - very good value for money.

Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. We were here for a family reunion/wedding. Stayed in the 2bdrm s/c unit which I would recommend rather then the motel rooms, as they are spacious and well equipped. Large swimming pool and area surrounding pool is lovely, lots of seating and a barbecue area. Walking distance to town.
