Had a great hassle free stay before starting the cape Brett hike the next day. Ended up getting a 4bed dorm to myself and appreciate the team keeping everyone as seperate as possible during the covid alert level - red. All amenities you could want there, was stoked to not have to dig out my sleeping bag or pillow. Only one issue was with the air con, was a particularly hot night and the air con in the room was exceptionally hot, only way of remedying it was to leave the door to the room open for the cool air to come in from the main reception area. Had fans that helped a little and for just the one night was bearable :)

The Staff are friendly and very hospitable. The facility is clean. Just one thing, The showers are common for Men and Women. Not seperate. However that can be overlooked as the common area has wonderful views.

Our large band booked the entire venue for the Jazz Festival. I can't fault the place. Niels was an amazing host who kept us informed and tended to any need. He even socialised with us on our last night. The rooms were ideal. Bunk rooms for families and singles, double rooms for partners. The location is perfect - over the road from the Ferry Terminal and upstairs from a number of restaurants and shops. The common room is very special - unhindered views of the water and Russell, loads of cooking facilities and comfortable seating. The whole facility is clean and secure. Can't wait to stay there again next year. Thanks!
