Welcome to Paihia TOP 10 Holiday Park, a Holiday Park in its own secluded bay situated just south of Paihia township. Come and stay beside the water in a park like setting and enjoy all the comforts of home. Paihia is the activity hub of the area, come and explore the Bay of Islands while staying in one of our Superior Cabins, Family Cabins, Kitchen Cabins or one of our camping or motor home sites. We have accommodation options to suit most budgets. We offer free wi-fi and a newly renovated toilet and shower block with free showers. For some family fun we have kayaks for hire on site and direct access to the walkways going in both directions towards Opua and Paihia. For the more adventurous we can arrange tour bookings and courtesy pick up and drop off from the holiday park when you go on an organised tour. At the end of a day adventuring, relax at our heated pool and enjoy the view over the bay

We stayed 2 nights in a Family Cabin. We had a wonderful time. The Cabin was clean and tidy and had all the amenities The beds were comfortable. There was a super king bed in the bedroom and two bunk beds in the lounge area. The kitchen was well stocked but I didn't end up cooking as Dusty told us about the best fish and chip shop in town. The shower was always hot and had great water pressure. The tv had Netflix so we enjoyed watching family movies in the evenings. The swimming pool was popular and busy in the afternoons but we enjoyed swimming in the morning as we had the pool to ourselves. We hired out the kayaks and paddled around the private bay for an hour. The water was very still and calm for us. The location was perfect and the views breathtaking. The camp was quiet and peaceful all night. We loved our stay and will definitely stay there again. We did not use any of the communal areas as we had everything we needed in our cabin.

Be aware that you are out of Paihia and will need to travel to town for shopping needs. Heated pool and kayaks are on site and lock up area for bikes is very helpful. Great laundry facilities including large washing machines and dryers are a bonus.

Great motorhome facilities. Hard base for powered sites parking with great views. Excellent dump station facilities. Clean and well maintained kitchen, bathrooms, laundry facilities. On a picturesque walking track to town or the local taxi service was reliable if you don’t want to unplug to go into town.

Seriously disappointing camp ground, especially for a Top10.
It looked great on the website, I was really looking forward to the beachfront, heated pool, tv room and free wifi. When we arrived the campsites were tiny, only allowing tents on the beachfront sites and unable park a second small car in the campground.
The pool was unusable, as there was something wrong with the pump, the tv broken and the wifi was one bar if you’re lucky.
Absolutely false advertising, minimum stay of 2 nights but you were not told about any of the unusable facilities upon arrival.
Charging $84 per night, the eftpos machine was definitely working.

We stayed on a elevated site, in a lovely forest setting, just what we wanted. The access to this area of the camp is challenging for a front wheel drive vehicle but Derek pulled the teardrop camper into our spot. However, we were woken in the middle of the night to an inexperienced driver dangerously reving and skidding on the access road which was next to our site. Most camp grounds lock their gates to prevent this. On the up side our grandchildren enjoyed the pool and camp vibe. The facilities were a little below what we expected eg hand soap dispensers and loo often rolls empty.

We visited with the family and the site is located at a beautiful spot with good amenities and a short drive to paihia. However, we own an ev and they do not let you charge your ev anywhere on premise. The reception staff are a bit unapproachable and unfriendly too.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review! Not all parks have charging facilities for your EV vehicles, but there are a few in Paihia Town. We don't have an EV charging area at our park and we encourage guests to charge their vehicles in town as it has caused power outage issues in the past. I highly suggest for future reference to call ahead or look up any holiday parks you choose to stay at, that they have a designated area for EV charging.

Booked a specific site months in advance, confirmed on the phone, booked specifically to be close to friends and to make it easier for the kids.
On arrival told the site we booked had been given to someone else, lady at desk (apparently the manager) shrugged it off, very rude, initially blamed a man who no longer worked there but it was a lady we spoke to on the phone.
Then said it was busy so they forgot, then told us it was our fault as putting a note in the booking doesn't confirm a site, when we we said we called and confirmed on the phone she said not her problem.
Was extremely unhelpful.
The person on 12 offered to move but the lady said we still can't go there as someone else has it from Friday and she cant move them as they dont like to move families (even though we booked it first month's ago and have children)
Also lied saying people on nearby sites are leaving on Friday so we can't be near our friends yet we spoke to the people on the sites mentioned and they are booked for 2 weeks.
Basically told us to camp at the other end of the site or leave.
If our friends weren't already here we would have done

Set in a wonderful location very quiet very calm right on the edge of the water.
Suitable facilities in the self contained cabin. Host extremely helpful and responsive to all inquiries. The Holiday Park are able to book activites and adventures, Thankyou Rachel.

As a family of 3 with a toddler, we really enjoyed our stay. The amenities were decent. The park had other families that we could relate to and it just felt like we were safe.
One thing i would hope to see in the future is more toilet facilities being added to other parts of the park, so it is accessible for people and families 24/7. There are main blocks of toilets near receptions and can be quite a hike if you stay at other parts of the camp.
Otherwise happy campers here!
