Travelled in the July school holidays with 2 kids, aged 15 and 12.

The first two nights stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment.

The apartment was large, comfortable and well appointed.

Master had an ensuite bathrrom with a large shower, heated tile floors and lots of towels etc.

Kids bedroom had twin beds with plenty of space around them.

We moved to the 3 bedroom penthouse suite for the second two nights.

This was amazing, downstair had a large open area with kitschen, dining space and lounge space with plenty of seating and just the right amount of furnishings.

Upstairs was a very large master suite with a big ensuite bathroom with a huge shower and a skylight that made it very airy.

The other two rooms were large and well appointed with queens beds, linked by a shared bathrrom which again was large and light.

This room would work well for 3 couples and provide enough space to get away from each other when needed and great social spaces for dining and entertaining.

The decks off both levels were large and have great 270 degree views across to Russell and the Bay of Islands.

Locked carpark below with swipe card access giving covered access to lifts.

There was a small outdoor heated swimming pool located in the middle of the complex, kids enjoyed it even if the outside temperature wasn't that hot.

Very close to resturants, shops and the ferry terminal where many activities are accessed from.

Despite being on the main road, this didn't detract from our enjoyment.

Cant speak highly enough of the property, we will be back.

We stayed in suite 105 by the pool. The unit was a good sized 1 bedroom suite with a well stocked kitchen and also a washer and dryer. Nice furnishings. No sea view but we knew that when we booked as it was the last suite left.

It's a very rainy stay at this hotel making it impossible to enjoy what Paihia has to offer. But, the closeness to the town made it very easy to find food, supplies and see the sea.

The suite is sparkling clean and spacious, no issue with the staff. Easy check in and check out. The property also has free underground parking and it's nicely lit and has wider space than other hotel parking. Room is very nice, bathroom is very clean and has it's own washer and dryer. They even provide laundry soap, dishwashing and coffee/tea. This suite has full size kitchen with modern appliance and has dishwashing (which is very nice when you're on vacation).

Only thing weird about this suite is the bathroom is very big but does not have shower division (only shower curtain) which makes the whole bathroom wet when you have a shower. (i guess it's because it's for pwd). I wish we we're assigned to normal bathroom considering we had a child who can slip into the wet bathroom floors.

Our group of 32 stayed for 4 nights in the Waterfront Suites and the Paihia Sails Apartments. Both places had beautiful waterfront views and were centrally located to shops, attractions and supermarkets.
The apartments and suites were all clean and comfortable and very well equipped to self cater if you wanted to.
Our check in was very smooth and any request was met with a friendly face. Free parking underneath was available for cars although we were not able to park our minivans on the premises due to the height. We managed to negotiate a fee with a home owner behind the premises, to park the vans for the duration of our stay.
We would definitely stay at either place if in Paihia again.

What an outstanding resort, it has the location the style and a high degree of quality. Not many places I’ve been can offer a kitchen with views over there water to Russell! From before we arrived the team were looking after us, on arrival a seamless check in and a well presented apartment awaited us. The rooms are stunning, well maintained and very clean. The kitchen was one the best I’ve seen in this style of accommodation- it actually had the tools to cook a meal. I managed a couple of meals and breakfasts with ease. The beds were comfortable and modern. Awesome aircon meant even with a 30 degree day we slept in comfort. The pool is fantastic, deep and clean. Great car parking, a safe secure location. All round a wonderful place!

We stayed 2 nights in a 3 bedroom suite which is in an adjacent building. Suite was amazing overlooking the water. Very high standard of appointment and cleanliness, own spacious balcony. Rooms were all configured to Queen beds, one room with own ensuite. Secure parking in basement. Tip for check in, there is no parking on the street in front so park in the nearest side road and walk up, only about 50 metres. Once you get your room key you can then access the secure parking. We stayed here as a party of 3 couples and there was more than enough space. Well worth the price

We booked 2 bedroom waterfront suite. It was 2 level apartment - bedrooms on 2nd level and living area at the bottom. Both levels had amazing views - one could sit there for whole day and hear gentle waves, great location - walking distance to restaurants and shops, secure car park, clean and good cooking facilities, with washing machine and dryer. However, aircon was not working in kids room, also we could hear fan from next door restaurant and car passing by at night including gentle waves, making it little difficult to sleep.

This was a last minute choice and a great one. Really impressed with the room and facilities. Everything you need and more. The heat pump kept us toasty warm. Kitchen fully kitted out with dishwasher, full fridge, microwave, hobs and full oven. Sky tv. Swimming pool was warm enough to swim in in winter. Quiet room mostly except when the someone showers upstairs. But that is pretty much standard in an apartment. Really handy to the heart of Paihia. Charlotte’s Kitchen is the best place to eat. Shopping just around the corner in Williams Rd. Fav shop Flying Fish Design is filled with NZ made goodies. Across the road there is delicious fudge. Coffee at Letz is great. We would definitely stay again.

We stayed here for a few days whilst we were visit Bay of Islands. The suites have a living room / kitchen with TV, cooker & dishwasher. The bathroom has a shower & washing machine / tumble drier. They also have air conditioning. The site has a basement car park. It's right in the centre of town with good access to shops & restaurant's and is right on the sea front. Its also a 2km (25m) walk to Waitangi Treaty Grounds.

Our "suite" was not what we expected from the pictures on the web site. There was nowhere to put our suitcases, which we needed on a daily basis, except on the floor of the lounge room. There was very little cupboard space and only 2 drawers. Storage space in the bathroom was limited to one small shelf. We were on the ground floor with no view, but still had to haul our suitcases up and down stairs for check in and check out. The lid of the top loader washing machine had to be held open to get washing in and out. And there was no way to get fresh air other than to leave to front door open, and no way to keep it open. Other apartments may be better.
