Detailed Reviews
We stayed here based on reviews, thought this was a 5 star place, but its not.
The toilet is old and dated and room smells is old mouldy..There is sky tv , but that all.No smart tv connectivity. Restaurant is good, but very limited menues for selective dieatry requirements. Parking entrance is confusing and we initially parked on Davis cres. Very noisey upstairs rooms, banging of doors and you can hear toilets flushing and thumping up footsteps..
Bed was large and comfy but dark and gloomy and is placed along the back walkway.
We wouldnt stay here again in future. More of a 2.5 to 3 stars hotel...

Stayed her for 2 nights in room 304. One of the 1 bedroom suites. Really nice room. Nice outlook.
room was clean and tidy and bed was fantastic. All the staff were very nice and friendly. The reception staff were great and so were the restaurant staff. We had breakfast as part of our package. You got to pick what you wanted off the menu and got a barista coffee thrown in. Salmon eggs benedict was great and so was the full breakfast. we had dinner in the restaurant one night. Food was good. The heated pools were lovely to sit in too. Would definitely recommend. Wish we had booked longer.

A nice place, but needs some TLC very soon.
Fire hoses on each floor rusted to bits not a nice look.
Door hinders rusty inside the room.
stair case and carpets need a good clean, smells.
Entrance outside a total mess, car park fenced so you cant use it, full of weeds, entrance by car awful. I could go on.
Staff great restaurant nice and clean food fantastic.
Come out guys sort this out before the building falls apart, walk through open your eyes.
Not worth the price to stay.
The Management need to have a good walk through by, open you eyes and address the issues.

Thank you for all our your feedback. The next door property with 'carpark' is not actually our property. However thank you for all of your feedback, we are now working to fix these issues to improve our services and facilities for future guests. We appreciate it muchly. I will be sure to pass on the lovely word to all staff as well. Thank you again! And we look forward to hopefully being able to welcome you back some day soon :)

My husband, four year old daughter and me had a very enjoyable holiday here this week.
Our room was huge with a fully equipped kitchen, dining table, lounge area and balcony. We easily had a couple of meals in our room. Our bathroom was a bit dated and small, but did the job.
The hot pools were fantastic, we were in them all the time. I just dipped my feet into the big pool but it was too cold for me.
There was a free laundry to use which was handy.
Breakfast was delicious and huge at the restaurant. We had dinner one night at the restaurant and it has a lovely atmosphere.
We didn't bring a car and didn't need it. The beach is across the road along with a playground. It is a short walk to the restaurants, supermarket and wharf.
We did get a taxi to the Treaty grounds only because our daughter walks so slow. It is definitely walkable for adults.
The staff are friendly. My only recommendation is to top up the liquid soap in the bathroom. It was empty for days in our room. I asked a cleaner to fill ours up and she said she would but didn't. I asked reception to and they didn't and just left a soap bar. I wish they just said they didn't have any as I could have got some from the supermarket when I was there.
This place is ideal for a relaxing holiday.

Our getaway to Paihia Beach Resort & Spa was wonderful, the staff were friendly, supportive and professional. Prior to arriving at the resort they helped organise a surprise birthday cake, chocolates and bubbly for my husband! The cake was amazing and delicious.
Our Spa studio was very clean, comfortable and had lovely views of the bay. The Glasshouse restaurant had awesome breakfast and lovely environment - lovely efficient and child friendly staff. We felt relaxed especially with an active 3yo.
We had a wonderful relaxing message at La Spa and our therapist Alexia was great.
Definitely recommend this hotel, spa and restaurant.

After a month travelling throughout both islands of NZ, we booked 3 days at Paihia Beach Resort, as a bit of an indulgence to relax and refresh. On arrival, we missed the entrance to the resort due to cyclone fencing which made it look like a building site.
We got the impression that the Reception staff appeared to be fixated on their computer screens, and arriving guests were an irritating intrusion.
Any queries we made about local places were never addressed satisfactorily.
Our room on the first floor was great, with a kitchen and balcony overlooking the pool and the beach. The second day, our room had been given a quick, barely noticeable service, and I had to chase up Housekeeping for milk, as it hadn't been replenished.
On checking out, again, the Reception staff member looked up, took our keys, and went back to her computer screen. Nothing like, 'Did you enjoy your stay?', or 'Where are you heading now'. Again, we felt like an unwelcome intrusion into her morning.
We stayed in many places throughout NZ, most of which have sent follow up emails to see how we enjoyed our stay. Nothing has been sent from Paihia Beach Resort to follow up on our stay, which is testimony to their indifference to guests.
For the cost of the stay, we were expecting a better experience.

The room was lovely, bed comfy, and bath and balcony were great. A little tattered around the edges but everything was clean and tidy and comfortable (and it’s hard to find comfortable hotel rooms in my experience!). My spa experience was not luxe at all, in fact quite uncomfortable, and I confess I regret booking it. But I’m sure they will fix the problems in due course. The pool area was a highlight and the restaurant, although a little dated in its menu, was lovely.

Overall stay was good, clean and tidy 2 bedroom apartment style rooms with plenty of towels with two kids. Kitchen lacks A few cooking utensils especially when you have kids and need to make something in a hurry. Car parking is 4/5 under cover parks and 12 street parks Which is on a first come first serve basis right next to the day spa so parking outside can be an issue.

Overall great resort for a young family. Excellent location, just a short walk to all the restaurants, pool and hot tubs amazing. Rooms was great size and had a full kitchen, very handy. Only feedback in the bathroom be great to have a shower curtain as a option to stop the water escaping the shower. First time and WILL be back.

+1
The apartment had outstanding views and was tastefully decorated with everything we needed for our stay.
The staff were very personable and professional, always willing to help with anything required.
The pool area, and bar service to the pool area was excellent and very enjoyable.
The only drawback was terrible WiFi.

My apologies I thought I had answered this. I do not think so. There is a Spa with Steam Room , Sauna and Massage area but I do not recall seeing a gym.
Yes there is an elevator. Large enough for two people plus small luggage.
