We had 1 night in Paihia and wanted something affordable with great water views close to town. We really enjoyed staying here, we were greated warmly by name at reception and got into our room in super quick time. The room was spacious and immaculately clean with stunning views. The bed is queen size, so keep that in mind. Traffic noise from the road was noticeable, but was quiet at night - unavoidable if you want to be on the waterfront. We were proactively offered a late checkout which was appreciated. Highly recommended.
This place was good on short notice. Stayed here with my family as we were travelling to a Tangi in the area. I was pleased with the room and the service was great. The lady behind the counter was friendly and gave a bunch of good advice and tips on things to do the next day. Would recommend staying here for sure.
We have stayed with BreakWater Motel multiple times now and have always found their facilities immaculately clean and well maintained. Staff are very pleasant and the waterfront accommodation is a hit with the kids. Look forward to our next visit.
I stayed here years ago with a waterfront room, wasn't sure how dated it would be but was pleasantly surprised that the rooms have been totally updated and were spotless. As previous the views from the waterfront rooms are stunning.
Welcoming and helpful manager, excellent cleaning crew and a very comfortable room. We were upstairs waterfront and it was lovely but Paihia's busy main road detractd from the experience and would make me think twice about staying on the waterfront again. However, the view is gorgeous. I recommend finding "Third Wheel Cafe" just a block away but down an alley after Greens with a fibreglass whale.
