Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Well, this was a comfy motel, also a clean and nice room with double and single bed for us, the mini kitchen was basic but good with complimentary drinks, milk and mini fridge, bathroom and toilet were clean. Location is not at the beach front but it is at walking distance for 10 minute's walk to town centre and ferry wharf. So, it was a really good overnight stay experience.

We bumped into Casa Bella for spa as we had some injuries from sports. Vineet has been super helpful. He went extra to make sure we get as much support as we could.

The room was lovely. Fair price very much worth of it. Spotless kitchen and space. Has everything in the kitchen area. Shower was great. We had the best nights in Casa Bella to rest for our sports. It feels super comfortable and warm. Definitely next time Casa Bella will our 1st choice.

Total RIP OFF - $600

I booked this hotel from booking.com to stay with my family. Room that I booked had loose wires and it was right next to the bed. I have 1 year old baby and it’s dangerous if he catch those wires so I asked them to give me another room and manager was like - Yeah I know its not safe but I don’t have any other room plus I can not do the refund
I had to find another accommodation at 9pm and ended up paying $1200 for that accommodation

Casa bella did not refunded my $600 even when it was a failure at their end.

If you want to live in room with open circuits and bugs this is a place for you

Admittedly, I didn't stay at this motel. My issue here is with the booking and reservation.

I booked a room for a three night stay at Paihia. It would have been my first time in Northlands, coming from Auckland. I did this through Booking.com, and we were meant to be there on the 28th January 2021.

However, on the night of the eve of our travel, there was news that there was three cases of Covid's new strain from recent MIQ (isolation) cases that travelled up to Northlands (from Orewa, Whangerai and various other places). Being that myself and my partner are on the high risk category, we decided that it would be our moral obligation to postpone our trip to another date when the Covid situation dies down. However, because it was the night before our travel, we have passed the free cancellation period. We tried to appeal on good faith to the management of Casa Bella, through Booking.com as recommended by the portal. Our appeal was rejected because as they said, "everything is still open as normal with people travelling", and therefore they are not able to waive the cancellation fee.

We were more than willing to accept a credit and just move the dates of our travels but because they were unwilling to waive the cancellation fee, we won't be using their facilities as and when we visit Paihia; after the whole Covid-19 situation has dissipated. My cruise to the Bay of Islands and Cape Reinga Tour was credited and even our stop by accommodation in Keri-Keri was cancelled without any fees. This was the only establishment that was unwilling to offer any alternatives and therefore, won't be recommending them. We do feel that it was our moral obligation to NOT risk not just ourselves to Covid but to also to spread it in Auckland (once we return), and this establishment didn't have the good faith to offer any waiver or any alternatives for postponement.

The Casa Bella needs some money spent on it. The pool was green with algae, it was also very cold, this is not a heated pool. The jacuzzi only works if you ask for it to be turned on, who knew, we didn't. The carpet was worn and I stood in something sticky, the shower tray was bending and bowing, the room backed onto a noisy back packer bar and tennis courts. I am sure the owners mean well but we just became resigned to the place, knew we were leaving after 3 nights, and just got on with it. Casa Bella could be so much more.

Clean motel and welcoming host. Pool and spa clean and working. Not too busy during our stay so ample parking. Good value for overnight stay. Is slightly away from the main centre but very easy walk into town.

The stay was absolutely relaxing. The room was neat and very tidy, very near to the beach. The customer service was very good, the staff was very polite and helpful. Over and above the best thing was cost was very reasonable. We would like to stay there when ever we go there.

This place wasent the best at all, when we walked into the room there was a funky smell and the furniture was outdated and old it was not worth $190 a night, there were also people playing music and drinking in the room across from us not worth the stay

I stayed here for one week with my family and it has been the best holiday so far!
The hosts were very friendly, talkative and generous, allowing us to borrow their tennis equipment and key to use the tennis court next door as well as their double kayak, which made a great day out for my family. Every evening after our fun days of adventuring, we would make full use of the BBQ, pool and spa area.
Everything is so close, but far enough to be away from the noisy town centre, the rooms are also very clean, which in my experience is hard to come by.

We are looking forward to our next stay and would definitely recommend this to my friends.
