Rooms pretty basic but big and comfortable no cooking facilities so had to eat out every night so became quite expensive. The breakfast was great and cooked breakfast for $10was awesome value even got 4 pieces of bacon every morning. The pool was great for the kids but pretty cold, the spa pool was good the first night but was out of order the next day. The only thing we didn't enjoy was our neighbours who had booked the 3 other rooms in our block had kids who ran from room to room slamming the doors til all hours of the day and night. The first 3 nights were bad and we confronted them but they obviously didn't get the message or just plan thick. A part from that we enjoyed our stay

Just had a week here between Xmas and New Year and it was terrific.
The location is great, being close to the beach (10 min walk) and shops/cafes etc but far enough back from the main road to make it quieter. The property is well laid out with great landscaping and amenities, in particular the pool and spa, which were in good condition and very clean. (Maintained daily)
The room was a good size and always serviced to a high standard and although the beds were a little hard for us, having crisp clean sheets every day and comfy pillows was heavenly.
The breakfasts were of good quality, varied and plentiful with the option of having it inside or outside by the pool.
All of the staff were so happy to help with anything and are always smiling which makes all the difference to how welcome you feel.
All this at a price that was very competitive and provided excellent value for money.
Happy to recommend this hotel and staff to anyone ****

After reading the reviews about this hotel we weren't expecting much but after buying a deal off grabone we couldn't back out. We arrived at the desk and two lovely ladies greeted us. They were friendly and helpful . We were given two rooms across the driveway in a slightly run down building. We were a bit hesitant to enter but were surprised with how nice our rooms were for what were paid. The room and bathroom were very clean, slightly dated but overall nice. We had two queen sized beds that were on the firm side and plenty of comfortable pillows. The bathroom had plenty of room to put toiletries and shower was large with very god water pressure. Shower head could be higher. Breakfast on both mornings were plentiful with three sorts of breads, butter, spreads, cereals, fruit, yoghurt, pastries, meats and cheese. We didn't use pool or spa as pool was cold and spa a bit worse for wear. It looks like maintenance is being done to tidy up the outside area. Overall this was very good value for what we paid and we would be happy to stay again.

Dear Dale, First of all I want to say thank you for taking your time and telling us your experience. We are waiting for the supplier to deliver the new and softer beds that we already ordered. We will make a note about the shower and see what we can do to make a better experience for our guest. Thank you again, and we look forward to seeing you back in Paihia. Kind Regards. Ignacio.

When you have a dog as part of the family then the Pahia Pacific Resort is a brilliant spot to choose. Close enough that when the dog is exhausted from swimming and playing on the beach the walk back is only a few minutes.
The staff are so welcoming and friendly and nothing was an inconvenience. Breakfast was all that you need and more and fresh and tasty with the ability to upgrade to a cooked one.
When you are knackered from beach swimming the lovely pool entices you.
A good place to vaccay, park the car in the ample parking space and relax and enjoy the splendour of Paihia on your doorstep

We thought for a 3 star property it delivered everything we anticipated for the price we paid. The room was as advertised.Very clean but a bit dated. One bedside light didn't work. There were curtain hooks missing which made the room look shabby at night with the curtains drawn.
Our room rate included breakfast but it did not state it was only continental breakfast so that was a bit disappointing for one of us.We happily paid the extra NZD10 for some bacon and eggs though. The continental breakfast had a good selection despite not many rooms being occupied that night so not many guests to care for and we were the only ones in the restaurant at that time.
Overall the experience met our expectations, we got what we paid for.

Very quiet, good location (a block back from the beachfront), easy walking distance to local shops, cafes & restaurants. Comfortable beds and AMAZING shower! The hard-wired hair dryer in the bathroom doesn't work but a plug-in dryer was available however there is only a shaver power point in the bathroom that the hair dryer doesn't work in. Had to plug dryer in at the coffee station but too far from bathroom mirror and no other mirror in the room. This was mentioned on check out (I suggested either putting a full power point in the bathroom or a mirror on the wall opposite the coffee station) and the gentleman at reception was apologetic and grateful for the suggestions.

Breakfast was included in our room rate and the breakfast options were very good - however there were no gluten free options apart from fruit & yoghurt (husband is coeliac). There was no GF bread for toast or cereal options. We didn't request this when we booked though so may have been an option if we had requested it. We had our own GF products (which we usually travel with) so he was able to have something other than yoghurt & fruit.

Friendly and helpful staff, lovely clean room however a couple of times we left the "please make up my room sign" but by 4.00pm still hadn't been done.

The staff were excellent - welcoming , helpful and very efficient. Unfortunately the restaurant was not open due to staffing issues, but the continental breakfast (15$) was good value. The bedroom was comfortable with plenty of space and good complementary soaps/shampoos etc. The decor in the room was a little “tired”. The hotel has no sea view and is a few hundred metres back from the beach, but as a consequence is quiet at night.

Room very clean and comfortable, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again. The motel is close to amenities and activities.
Initially we were given a room above the carpark, however we found it quite noisy so asked about rooms behind the swimming pool as this was where we had stayed previously. The manager Ignacio very kindly allowed us to move (there was a small extra daily charge), this made our stay much more relaxed and enjoyable. Breakfast on site was basic but a good start to the day. The little pastries were fresh out of the oven and very delicious.

I was pleasantly surprised that I got such great value for money! We booked a superior queen which was great for a family of 4 - a large room with enough space for everyone and a full bath (perfect post mountain biking). Breakfast was also included in our booking - again for the price expected little, what we enjoyed was excellent, especially the danishes!

The hotel staff were so friendly and welcoming.
If you think the deals are to good to be true - they aren’t!!!

Kids loved walking down to pontoon at beach and the local restaurant Thirty was awesome.
