Detailed Reviews
I booked this Motel as we needed a family room for our large boys and I wanted a pool. It's a little out of Paihia and the only walkable food outlet was closed for New Years. Because it's out of Paihia it's very quiet and it's a lovely country setting. The rooms are big and very clean. The pool was warm and I loved that the owners are thinking Eco in that there's no little single use soaps and shampoo and even the milk comes in a little reusable glass bottle. We've stayed in a lot of NZ motels this year and these accommodations are really well thought out.

Hi Allena, Thank you for staying with us, and for taking the time to write this great review. We were delighted to meet you and the boys, and to see and hear the enjoyment that the pool encourages. All the very best for 2021, and we hope that the rugby goes well. Regards Grange and Bron

Stayed overnight price for a family unit was $200 but exceptionally worth it. This unit had all the utensils and cutlery tea and milk just exactly like an ordinary home with all your necessary toiletry items provided. Definitely recommended accommodation

Just back from 6 nights in this amazing motel - we can not rate the place highly enough. The owners are professional, friendly, and go out of their way to help. Everyone seems welcome, families, single travellers and couples. There is a lovely garden with a great swimming pool - feels as if you are somewhere tropical. A large number of chairs and sunbeds to relax after a cooling swim 2 BBQ's and an outside dining area made it easy to eat at the motel.
We had a cabin, number 8 - very well equipped, very clean and all fixtures and fittings were of a high standard. It even had 2 decks, back and front, therefore you could decide to sit in the sun or shade.
Can't wait to visit again

Grange and Bronwynn are the perfect hosts and this was pur third time we have stayed at their beautifully maintained motel.
It is just a perfect base for exploring the Bay of Islands area.
The lovdly pool followed by a barbecue is just job after a hot days exploring or a trip on the unique R Tucker Thompspn sailing ship.
Highly recommended 👍

First time this far north, paihia is a hidden gem in NZ . This hotel offers privacy and a place to relax after a days activities.
The facilities include easy access to laundry, a pool and decent wifi. The rooms themselves are very tidy, clean and spacious for everyone.
I recommend if your ever this way to stay here, especially for families, wonderful facility.
Cheers.

The first Motel we stayed in ,in our six week tour of New Zealand. What a stunner. A separate cottage all to ourselves. There was a pool , spa bath and also the much needed laundry room .
The accommodation was very clean and met highly with our expectations.
A great place to stay if you want to tour The Bay of Islands. Many thanks to Carol and Stuart

My friend and I stayed here after coming from a not so nice motel in Kawakawa so it was a surprise to find something that was so lovely and welcoming. The owners were very welcoming and friendly and gave us lots of info. Our room opened up onto the pool and we made full use of the hot tub - towels supplied by the motel. The rooms were spacious and clean with wifi and cable TV. The owner also offered to wash our clothes whilst we were out for day which was a lovely touch. There is a supermarket 3 minutes away and all the chalets come supplied with a fridge and cooking facilities.

Fabulous welcome from Carol and Stuart on our arrival for our two nights stay. Muffins and a bottle of milk for our cuppa. Our room was superb, with everything included - Hob, microwave and fridge; TV and DVD; large double bed, comfortable chairs, and desk. Ouside in the garden was a table and chairs, barbeque and a swimming pool. Other facilities were free Wifi, laundry, car parking right outside the room, and a superb free Spa Pool, in which we indulged. In fact, we wanted for nothing! This was indeed the best motel/hotel that we stayed in throughout New Zealand. Fantastic value for money. Highly recommended and many thanks to Carol and Stuart.
