Always reliable for good, comfortable accommodation. It’s always the more affordable place to stay along Marine parade and we’ve chosen the Edgewater for our place to stay 4 or 5 times now over the years. It’s not flash as such but it’s clean, great location, good price, friendly staff etc. yes it could do with a few upgrades but those are not essential. Will happily stay here again on another trip to Napier. Free parking, walk to the water, town and restaurants/cafes. Nice views across the road to the water. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. A little noisy with the road (but all along there most probably are!) it is a bit dated but nothing to take away from an enjoyable stay. A heater was provided that warmed the room well, daily house keeping with friendly staff who were more than happy to help.…
Staff were friendly, service was great, room was clean and tidy. However we barely slept all night. We were in a downstairs unit and could hear the footsteps and conversations of the guests upstairs who were awake until 4am. And when they would open the sliding door to their bathroom the sound reverberated throughout our unit, waking us all with a fright. Also the car parks are very small we had to park on the street as our car wouldn’t fit.
Stayed for one night and wouldn't have stayed longer. Clean enough but showing wear. If you stay here insist on an upstairs unit. We were downstairs and the floor above us creaked every time someone up there walked across it. It was quite loud, especially at 5:00 in the morning.
A bit of jiggle for a car park (Seems one can reserve, which no doubt extra cost) We tried to to leave car parked. Clean room, with morning sun, and over the road from Marine Parade activities park. Very noisy at night with almost continuous truck traffic, if light sleeper. The small things make a difference. Wall mirror in lounge doesn't suit shorter than 5'3" people. If you think you can do check in lounge take a portable stool! Cleaning staff pleasant, but obviously appliances not checked regularly. Iron had burnt plate, and iron board very flimsy. Did get replacement iron. Would rather be block or two further back next time, with afternoon sun.
Great water pressure, quality linen, comfy beds and a view! Staff were very helpful to me when I was late checking in! All areas were meticulously cleaned, off street parking. I used the booking.com website with ease.
Edgewater Motor Lodge was awesome. nice and handy to shops and speedway. Would stay there again. The only thing i would say that was bad was the small pool, But the room with the spa bath. Now thats something else.
This place is excellent. The cleanest motel I've ever stayed at. This place is spotless. Rooms very comfortable, unobstructed views to the ocean. Stay here, you won't be disappointed. Everything is close by.
Comfortable and clean. Friendly people. Great value for money. Easy walking distance to supermarkets, restaurants and cafes. Opposite the beach (not a swimming beach), children's playgrounds and other recreational facilities. Fabulous outlook, but not noisy. Would definitely stay again.
We booked in here for three nights a very comfortable unit on the ground floor with nice outdoor sitting area. Very clean unit and nicely decorated. Sadly on our second night we had to make a decision to leave and head to Auckland to catch a flight back to the South Island before the country went into four week lockdown. We thought that the motet might credit us one night but that was no so . Would stay here again if we get back there
Perfect location. Lovely clean rooms with everything you need. Staff were lovely and accommodating. On a main road however quiet at night. Lovely hearing the sea waves at night through the window. Walking distance to lovely restaurants. Very underrated would definitely recommend. Kitchen well equipped in room. Lovely spa bath
