Lovely property with well appointed rooms and comfy beds.
Warm, with a gas fire and heat pumps in all rooms.
Full kitchen, laundry etc.
Spa pool was great.

Bonus:
Staff were all lovely, welcoming and keen to help in any way.
Had kai delivered from the restaurant at Mission Estate — excellent!

We drove up to the Winery to collect the key and then down to the Farmhouse, which is secluded from the rest of the property, surrounded by vines and the chestnut trees lining the drive up to the Winery.
First impressions are exceptionally positive - you enter into a tastefully decorated property, spacious with sliding doors out onto a deck with outdoor seating and a spa pool. There’s a sizable kitchen with oven, hob, fridge, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker and electric kettle. There’s also a large dining space, a laundry room with washer and drier, plus separate rooms for sleeping in. Our bedroom - and bathroom - were roomy and well appointed. The bathroom included De Chéri shampoo and body wash, which were lovely.
The spa pool (hot tub) was clean, comfortable and just the tonic after a long drive.
In the fridge was a bottle of Mission Estate Fete sparkling wine as a welcome gift to us. We thought this was a really classy touch!
A key thing we loved about the property was the tranquility. At night, the stars filled the sky and all you could hear was the distant cries from nocturnal birds and animals.
If anywhere can reasonably be described as Heaven on Earth, it is the Farmhouse at Mission Estate. Book it, relax and enjoy!

It's incredible that you get the whole house to yourself, even if booking only one bedroom (the extra bedrooms are locked in this case). A wonderful place for an extended stay, or just a couple of nights. We visited in winter for our anniversary - loved the fireplace, hot-tub under the stars, and comfy bed. Clean-up service only occurs once a week, so you are on your own in the interval. Questions can be taken to the Cellar Door staff (only during business hours).
Like others, our sparkling wine was not in fridge when we arrived, but they provided it promptly. Dinner at the Winery was excellent - outdoor seating is lovely if a nice day. The continental breakfast is OK for a short stay, but you might want to apply that cost to purchasing your own breakfast supplies. Don't miss staying here!
Reception at the winery in the afternoon had been very friendly. As we had to leave early on a Sunday morning we just dropped the key with the kitchen staff - no problem at all.
Oh yes, and nature is all around you - flowers, trees, birds, rabbits, chicken, ducks, a cat...
"Best room is behind the kitchen - this is the default room if you only book one bedroom."Read full review
"All the rooms delightful, perhaps the twin room slightly less appealing than the two other suites."Read full review
