We loved our stay at the Farmhouse, set in the Mission Estate vineyards. We were 3 couples, each had our own bedroom and ensuites. Each bedroom has a heat pump and a TV. The home was beautifully appointed, and we stayed toasty warm with the gas fire in the living area. The staff were very accommodating (pardon the pun!) when we requested the room with 2 auntie beds be made up as one large bed, and they also allowed us to store our ebikes in the hallway at night. The bottle of bubbly was a lovely touch too! Very clean and tidy property, inside and out. We will def be back!!

Six of us shared The Farmhouse recently and found it to be an excellent choice. Bedrooms are all at opposite points of the house, giving plenty of privacy. Glassware and crockery a little haphazard and the place is starting to show its age. The best thing would be to get rid of the old barbecue and replace it with a clean new one that works properly. Lovely position among the vines, just needs a freshen up.

Great property well set out with high quality fittings. But as an expensive up market rental ($2200) for four days staff need to be more customer focussed. On arriving do one welcomed us but argued whether we had paid (our agent had - no apology) no instructions and just given the key an told to drive to the farmhouse. We could not find and came back for help which was somewhat patronising. After two days we asked for more breakfast supplies - told by the not very helpful Angela that we had not paid for breakfast - I told her to check with our agent told she was going off duty in half an hour and I should contact our agent - which I did. The agent phoned Angela and a delightful Carol arrived with supplies. No apology from Angela of course. If you are offering high quality accommodation you need to do some staff training to get the customer service right - which in out case was poor

Easily missed from the outside, this discreet little house is tucked away in the Mission’s vineyard, among palms, lemon and orange trees in its own garden. It is warm and welcoming with a fire, beautiful furniture throughout and tasteful docrstion. Light floods the house, thanks to lots of windows and the views are mostly of the lovely vineyard and the hills beyond. Excellently equipped and with a welcoming bottle from the estate, one feels at home very quickly.

My partner and I spent three weeks traveling around NZ and I can honestly say that it’s been an absolute pleasure to stay at the Farmhouse at Mission Estate.

We drove up to the Winery to collect the key and then down to the Farmhouse, which is secluded from the rest of the property, surrounded by vines and the chestnut trees lining the drive up to the Winery.

First impressions are exceptionally positive - you enter into a tastefully decorated property, spacious with sliding doors out onto a deck with outdoor seating and a spa pool. There’s a sizable kitchen with oven, hob, fridge, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker and electric kettle. There’s also a large dining space, a laundry room with washer and drier, plus separate rooms for sleeping in. Our bedroom - and bathroom - were roomy and well appointed. The bathroom included De Chéri shampoo and body wash, which were lovely.

The spa pool (hot tub) was clean, comfortable and just the tonic after a long drive.

In the fridge was a bottle of Mission Estate Fete sparkling wine as a welcome gift to us. We thought this was a really classy touch!

A key thing we loved about the property was the tranquility. At night, the stars filled the sky and all you could hear was the distant cries from nocturnal birds and animals.

If anywhere can reasonably be described as Heaven on Earth, it is the Farmhouse at Mission Estate. Book it, relax and enjoy!

We loved our 2 night stay here - it was the highlight of our Napier visit. The house is lovely with excellent amenities. We especially enjoyed the gas fireplace, outdoor hot tub, well-equipped kitchen, laundry (washer & dryer) and the views of the vineyard and the sheep-dotted hills.
It's incredible that you get the whole house to yourself, even if booking only one bedroom (the extra bedrooms are locked in this case). A wonderful place for an extended stay, or just a couple of nights. We visited in winter for our anniversary - loved the fireplace, hot-tub under the stars, and comfy bed. Clean-up service only occurs once a week, so you are on your own in the interval. Questions can be taken to the Cellar Door staff (only during business hours).
Like others, our sparkling wine was not in fridge when we arrived, but they provided it promptly. Dinner at the Winery was excellent - outdoor seating is lovely if a nice day. The continental breakfast is OK for a short stay, but you might want to apply that cost to purchasing your own breakfast supplies. Don't miss staying here!

This 1950's Farmhouse totally refurbished in a modern stylish way was just great. Spacious layout with lots of indoor outdoor living-perfect in a Hawke"s Bay summer (although air con was great for sleeping). Crisp cotton sheets, fluffy pillows and comfortable beds made for very restful sleeping. A barbeque on one of the decks if you need it, bubbly in the fridge to say welcome, lovely toiletries and loads of towels! A shelf in the bathroom for makeup etc would be most welcome but no complaints otherwise. A delightful spa under the impressive starry sky was an evening highlight. Be sure to walk through the vines up to the historic Mission Vineyard tasting room and Restaurant- one of the best meals ever with fantastic service and no surprise-great local wine knowledge! Loved it and will be back!

My fiancé and I stayed here with our bridal party for our wedding in September. The whole house is spacious and beautifully appointed, in short we were very impressed. Each of the bedrooms has an ensuite plus there is a separate bathroom for extra guests to use. It is perfect for a family or a group of friends and was a brilliant location to our wedding venue at Mission Estate. I would definitely recommend.

The Farmhouse is a very good accommodation option... if you don't mind being a bit out of central Napier. We had it all to ourselves for two nights and enjoyed its location in the middle of the vineyard, the stylish interior, the spacious living room, the choice between three bedrooms (each with adjoining bathroom), the laundry facilities and - such a nice gesture - the bottle of sparkling wine in the fridge. We did not make use of kitchen, terrace BBQ and hot tub but are sure that a family or a group of friends will have great fun using them. We preferred eating out and had our first night dinner at the Mission Estate Winery Restaurant - convenient as we just had to walk a little bit uphill and so worth a visit (make a reservation well in advance!).
Reception at the winery in the afternoon had been very friendly. As we had to leave early on a Sunday morning we just dropped the key with the kitchen staff - no problem at all.
Oh yes, and nature is all around you - flowers, trees, birds, rabbits, chicken, ducks, a cat...
