Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great location just a short walk to the centre of Napier, and overlooking the seafront. Modern hotel with good sized bedroom (we had a sea view) which had all necessary facilities. Car parking on site Good value hotel Helpful reception staff Good buffet breakfast and dinner. Also lots of restaurants within walking distance. Would definitely consider staying here if visiting Napier again

Conveniently placed to access town. Staff were helpful at check in and breakfast. Room was clean and liked the fact they had a laundry on site -great for travellers. Breakfast ok but all fruit was tinned which was disappointing. Over all great place.

Nice hotel, nice location; only disappointment was bottle of wine on table was not clear was a chargeable item & not a welcome bottle as more reputable hotel's do. Fleeced for $40. If it's notIN the mini bar & not clear it's chargeable, then hid the bloody thing! Really spoiled our visit.

Dear Clive, Thank you for your review. The situation you encountered rarely happened in our hotel as having a mini bar price list right next to the bottle of wine would normally be sufficient keeping any misunderstanding from happening. We will take you feedback onboard for future revision. Thank you and we wish you all the best for the rest of your journey. Kind regards, Mick Yuan Assistant Manager

The room had no towels. Called the front desk fixed in a heart beat. On further inspection of the room found gum stuck to the night table. Then I checked out the beds and sheets were filthy. Had not been changed. In fact I found gum stuck to the sheets, a long with the smell and wrinkles from having been slept in. The sad thing is the beds were made up as if the linen had been changed. In a word disgusting. Management quickly resolved all issues in moments after being informed. I understand labor is hard to find, but I suggest Management insure that house keeping is closely monitored to ensure guests rooms are cleaned.

Kia Ora Maxwell, I was informed of these issues at the time and was pleased that our Assistant Manager was able to quickly remake the bed and get this sorted for you. That being said it should not have happened and I sincerely apologise for this. In my 3 years Managing the hotel this is the first time this has happened. It was simply human error. I can assure you that our fully staffed team have very high standards, but they let you and the hotel down on this occasion. If you wish to discuss this further with me, please contact the hotel directly. Kind regards, Katie Silcock, General Manager

Perfectly located on the ocean front in Napier. Easy to walk to the Art Deco centre or along the beach. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean with a table and chairs at the window overlooking the ocean. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were too. Breakfast was divine!! Fresh and plenty of it. We would stay here again.

Lovely modern hotel, really well located for the centre with beautiful view of the sea. Lovely room with very comfortable bed, nice furniture. We were only in town overnight so didn’t spend too long at the hotel but would happily recommend.

This hotel has amazing, oceanfront views, and very large windows to be able to soak it all in. The rooms were clean, spacious, and nicely decorated. You can walk into town in just a few minutes, so the location is ideal. The breakfast was also quite good. Would definitely recommend.
