We had decided that the final two nights of our holiday would be in Napier. Art Deco Masonic was decided as the destination. We were greeted with smiles and helpfulness and a wonderfully set out hotel with all the art deco one could imagine. Very clean and comfortable. Only let down was the Irish bar below being a little noisy...

The Masonic is a lovely Art Deco building near the sea front in Napier. We had a 'deluxe king' room on the first floor, which looked out over a side road. The room was relatively small; perhaps to be expected in an historic building (we had one suitcase each, so if you're traveling with more luggage, be aware). The bed...

Art Deco Masonic Hotel can't be faulted on style: it's beautiful from the outside through to the inside, with attention to detail that makes a difference to the experience. It's also in the perfect location: on the coast road (no sea view though) in the centre of town. Our room (a Superior King Room) was smaller than I expected, thanks...

Old Hotel but well maintained and clean. Great Location, walking distance from cafe's and restaurants. very friendly and accommodating staff. Parking around the hotel is hard so its best to reserve parking from the Hotel.

We stayed in the studio king suite for 3 nights. We requested a quieter room and we were delighted with the room and the pleasant terrace. The bed was comfy and we loved the decor. Parking was a short walk away from the hotel building and the staff were friendly and attentive. We will most certainly be back to stay...

Hi there, Thanks for your review, much appreciated. Indeed, the views from our balcony are unrivaled and with the inner city shops and cafes on the doorstep too this is the perfect spot. Thanks also for your comments regarding the food and service in Emporium Eatery and Bar. Regards, Graeme

What a wonderful hotel. A great location close to the waterfront and shops etc. Great facilities - bar and restaurant have good selection of food. The staff were both friendly and very helpful. Our interconnecting rooms were both beautiful and the bathrooms clean and modernised.

The staff, room and facilities were excellent. We loved the old style layout of the building and found accessibility to restaurants and shops easy. Being close to the beautiful foreshore area was a bonus.

Spent a lovely weekend in Napier, enhanced by a stay in this charming hotel. Rooms were in keeping with the style, we stayed in the room next to the Royal Suite! The only slight criticism would be the Emporium which was not really in keeping with the rest of the hotel. The food and service was very good but the...

If you're visiting Napier, you're probably keen on Art Deco architecture. So although it's a little expensive, staying at the Masonic is a great experience. The hotel is right in the centre of the Art Deco action. The rooms are modern and comfortable, and despite being in the centre it is actually quite quiet. Also, the hotel is directly opposite...
