Room Tip: L’hôtel est très bien situé, à côté du centre-ville, et à côté de la promenade du littoral.

A great place to stay, rooms are good with reasonable facilities. We were sorry that there was no hob. Further facilities in the room are good. There is a private parking space some tight maneuvering spaces but the car is easy to park. Too bad the staff are being aloof.

What was good.
Well provisioned room. Everything you could need especially bathroom
Friendly helpful staff, very accommodating
What was so so
A room looking inland. No worthwhile view and some traffic noise. Not well sheltered from rain

I rang ahead for closing time of restaurant, as my stay included meals. Unclear communication about closing times and what restaurants were available who could charge (none could deliver) no electric blankets or extra duvets evident in room. Clean rooms, but in my haste I left key in room. Charge of $80 for a security guard to walk from other end of building. Keys are miniature and easy to forget about. Great location, swimming pool "closed for our safety" three stars is generous, two stars more accurate.

We stayed 3 nights in a spacious studio with sea facing balcony.
Bed was large and comfortable, a good sized kitchette, bathroom had plenty of space for toiletries, although shower over bath is not ideal as a high step getting in and out. Balcony is private and large with lovely sunrises.
Only 2 sets of stairs, 7 in each which is easy enough to manage, and room is very quiet and private.
Happy with stay.

Good solid basic accommodation in Napier. We just stopped for the night. The check-in process was simple and effective. It's unusual I thought to have an old-fashioned room key for the rooms. Our room had bedding for two, and we did think it a little unusual to have plates and cutlery for three....
TV channels were basic but effective and easy to use.
The oddest thing we found (but didn't affect our stay), was that we could feel undulations in the concrete floor through the carpet in our room.
If we had more time to search for accommodation we might have chosen something a little more exciting, but as we were choosing to redeem a rewards night from hotels.com we were limited in our choice of location

The motel has a great location and it's walking distance from restaurants and shops. It has quite a large carpark and an indoor heated pool (which we did not use).
The room was ok, a bit small for 3 people perhaps but functional. Beds were average.
The bathroom had a spa pool but we only used it to shower (shower over bath) and it could definitely do with better lighting...the 2 downlight were totally wrong positioned and not enough.
The room was equipped with a heat pump and kitchenette (but we only used the fridge and the kettle).
One thing we did not like is that the rooms are all along a sort of long balcony and the ceiling to floor windows and sliding door made it hard to get some privacy with people walking past to get to their rooms or the pool or going out. It would have made more sense to access the rooms from the back that had another door but solid and a balcony looking over the back street.

We spent 3 nights at the Quality Inn Napier (QIN). We found it very good, not 4-5 star but if you just want a bed, toilet and shower this is a good place to stay. Very close to all shops/services in the city, I would think great views if you got a room facing the sea! Our only negatives were the dated rooms and the thin walls/ceilings as we could hear what was happening next door and the people in the room above stomping around at all hours of the night!! There is a restaurant/bar in this establishment but we found it cheaper to go elsewhere. There is also a pool. This pool is not HEATED to some peoples standards. It was just above cold boardering on warm! My hint: dip your tootsies in first! Staff were very good,: we tried using the ending machine but it swallowed our money but the staff gave us our money back so no problems there! Room was cleaned daily and all staff we dealt with were very cheerful! Would I stay there again: Yes!

Great hotel welcomed by friendly staff. Good location with tidy and we'll kept rooms. Definitely will be staying here again. Quiet rooms with all you need. Room overlooked the pool which was responsibly closed due to level 2 goes to show how well and professionally run this hotel is. Excellent stay!

Great location, clean and comfortable. There was a guest laundry and also a washing line, great for travellers. We had a studio room with a microwave and 2 hot plates, and plates, etc also provided. There was a restaurant on site, although not managed by the hotel, good meals and reasonable prices.
