Nicely located for Napier, but in what is almost a suburb of Napier so you need to drive into Napier itself. That said, the Ahuriri village has a ton of nice shops and restaurants. The underground car parking is nice, but there isn’t very much of it. Nice clean, well appointed rooms, though they could do with one less fashionable chair and one more comfortable one!

We got a room at the Navigate because we had a function on at the nearby Sailing Club (easy 10 min walk) and didn’t want to drive home. The room was clean and fresh with pleasing decor and all the amenities you need (no stove but there is a microwave, jug, toaster and crockery/cutlery). The bed was super comfy with extra pillows if you wanted them and the bathroom was stylish with a tiled walk-in shower. Location is fabulous - walk thru to next door/cafe restaurant (yummy breakfast!), other restaurants and shops literally a few steps from the room, and the beach across the road. Also a boutique cinema nearly adjacent. Room was very quiet although road very close. Staff member at reception was friendly and helpful and no issues with check in. Free secure parking onsite. One

Stayed here as part of a business trip. Though a little out of the way, away from Napier, the relaxing ambience of the Navigate was well worth it. Modern alternative decor, above average size rooms - very nice. Feels more like serviced apartments than a hotel. Room had a view out onto a garden, not sea views from this room but very pleasant all the same. The bathroom / toilet small window oddly opened out onto a closed in (but well lit and expansive) hallway area - and the hallway area had some rather unpleasant looking carpet water stains from outer windows / doors on the outer side of this hallway area. Whilst there’s no onsite restaurant for dinner or breakfast, it’s a short walk to eateries on the waterfront, so that’s not a deal breaker by any means. Pleasant setting
