Warm, but very basic standard room for a superior studio rating. Central location.Aged decor,Poor bathroom, lots of water on floor, poor shelving and no vanity in bathroom. Cheap and nasty. No area for cases.
We decided to stay here as there wasn’t much available for a reasonable price in Napier. Unit was clean and tidy however not really a lot of room to move around/room also quite dark. Recommended to if you are only after a bed for the night otherwise stay somewhere else.
We stayed here for two nights in May 2020. The motel is located very close to the centre of Napier, just a block or two from the shopping area. Across the road are Noel Leeming and The Warehouse. It is easy to find on one of the main roads. We stayed in a ground-floor unit. There was a little bit of noise at night from other motel guests parking their cars, but it wasn't too disturbing. The unit itself (bed in the lounge plus separate bedroom with two single beds) was large with a kitchenette for cooking and a dining table. The main bed was very comfortable. I slept very well. We will certainly consider staying here again when we return to Napier.
We tried to book for Art Deco 2022. Wanted 3 nights but told minimum of 4 nights only. So decided that we would do 4 nights Weds to Saturday....only to be told that their 4 nights starts Thursday to Sunday.....no flexibility at all. Needed those dates so we could go to work Monday....don't like being dictated too....so no booking made.
The Hotel is a Bella Vista and like many of them quite small rooms however we book them knowing this, it is in a great location easy walking distance to Central City, Restaurants and Bars. The check in was bare minimum though may have had something to do with COVID manager/owner was wearing a mask. Around 15 minutes after we booked out we got a call from the owner we had left some shoes we were in town and went back to collect them. If he hadn't been so on to it we may have lost them or being paying postage. The toilet needs a good clean apart from that everything else okay. Would stay for the location.
My brother and I had two nights here. Motel is close to CBD and has the RSA across the road for good meals. Our hosts Wendy & Jimmy were great. We will use this motel next time we are in Napier. Also it is only one street away from the water front.
We enjoyed our stay at Bella Vista. The proprietors were friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, close to Marine Parade, restaurants, cafes and shopping. Well appointed amenities, warm and cosy.
Great location, room is quite large, comfy bed. An older style motel but renovated quite nicely. Very close to everything - walking distance. Fairly quiet too. Parking fairly easy. Would stay here again.
Close the central Napier convenient for shops, restaurants, bars etc. we found this to be a clean and comfortable motel. Our unit was a downstairs with convenient adjacent parking. Though a little on the small side when compared to other places we stayed on our trip we would return. The proprietess on reception was pleasant and friendly and the service was good.
I’ve stayed here a few times and always seem to sleep well. As I have mostly been on my own I would go across the road to the RSA or The Station for dinner and to the Drift Restaurant for breakfast and dinner on other nights. On the other side of the restaurant is Marine parade. The rooms are a little underwhelming but quaint.
