We walked in off the street needing a 2 bedroom room, but a 1 bedroom would have done as we were exhausted after a long trip on our motorbikes. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. We were given the last 2 bedroom suite at nearly half the price and offered to have our bikes put in the owners garage to keep them safe. We were so relieved as this was the first place we'd tried on our "winging it" holiday. Yes it's a bit outdated, but cleanliness and comfort of the beds is paramount in our book plus the added extra of a beautiful view. We had one of the best sleeps on our whole trip here. Very handy to eateries as having bikes we had to walk. We'd definitely stay again.
My wife and I and our two daughters spent 1 night at the Shoreline Motel. The accommodation was extremely spacious and clean and consisted of 2 separate bedrooms, one with 2 single beds and the other with a large king bed, all of which were extremely comfortable. Although the bathroom was adequate, it would have been preferable to have a walk-in shower and not a shower in the bath. The large open plan lounge and kitchenette was however very pleasant and convenient. Our room was across the street from Napier beach and had a lovely view. Overall, we had a very good 1 night stay and as the Motel is located on Napier’s promenade and only a few minutes’ walk from Napier town, we were able to experience an enjoyable scenic walk, as well as an interesting self-guided Art Deco walk in the limited time that we had.…
The motel is clean but tired, at more than $220 a night, the facilities aren’t great, thin towels, broken ironing board and bouncy old bed. The staff were nice and the location is very handy to town with no more than a ten minute walk
We stated as a large group in 5 separate rooms. Some rooms were good, some weren't. Our room was OK but as we arrived in the early evening we didn't get to much help from the admin girl regarding rooms for us. Once we got a room it was quite late so mostly all just had a quick shower ten out to find some food. The shower/bath edges were very mouldy and the shower very slippery as the shower head only reached most of our chests and we had to step back and bend down to wash your hair/face. When we got up early in the morning for a quick cuppa there was no milk in the fridge. Outside our front door was an overgrown lawn and garden. This must really give this establishment a run down look. Would I go back there, probably not!
Lovely, clean and spacious unit on first floor with spa bath that has a clear view of the ocean. Enjoyed breakfast on the balcony. Huge, comfy bed. Decided to stay another day after booking for two days only, and host was very accommodating so we didn't have to change rooms or find another motel fortunately. Very highly recommended.
