We spent two nights at this accommodation. It was spotless and well appointed including a patio area outside each apartment and a swimming pool available to all visitors.
Wayne and Lyn were most attentive hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them.
It was certainly a place that I would return to and just wish we had been able to spend more time here in this peaceful area. Feeding the alpacas was a highlight of my stay!!

Fabulous accommodation, we stayed two nights here, should of booked more, but they were fully booked.
Lynn and Wayne were fantastic hosts, they couldn’t have made us more welcomed than they did, it was a home away from home.
Beautiful large room, excellent bathroom with walk in shower, there is nothing anyone could fault this establishment on, a great eye for detail.
Surrounded by fields and orchards, with their own alpacas, a lovely swimming pool, set at 28degrees, and your own private patio area.
The continental breakfast is all in your room, Bread, cereals, meats and cheeses, fruit and nuts, perfect for a light breakfast.
Napier is only under 10 minutes away, a very easy drive into an Art Deco city.
The Mission winery and restaurant, again 10 minutes away, your hosts will arrange a booking for you.
We and our travel councillors will recommend this establishment to anyone travelling through this beautiful part of New Zealand.

My husband and I visited on the first opening weekend (Queen's Birthday) and you could tell the hosts Lynn and Wayne were excited to reopen and welcome you to their beautiful and luxurious property. The property sits behind a gated entrance and upon entering there is a beautiful tree lined, sweeping driveway which sets the scene for the welcome you're about to receive - Lynn and Wayne really are masters of their craft - you can tell they are passionate about Customer Service - it simply oozes from them both.

Nothing is too much trouble, you feel like old friends from the minute you arrive and the high quality finishes and little touches within the room just elevate the experience, in my eyes.

We stayed in the Tuki Tuki suite which has a huge bathroom with his & hers sinks and walk in shower. You can tell that every little detail of the Guest Experience has been thought through here, personalised chocolates waiting for you on the pillow, a fully stocked fridge with continental breakfast options, fresh fruit juice, water, beers, sodas, we were very impressed with the high standards.

Our room opened up to a patio with lawn furniture overlooking the tennis courts and swimming pool and there are cows grazing all around the property which just adds to the sense of tranquility and peace you feel whilst staying at Kalldeen.

Napier is also only 10 minutes drive away so a very handy yet very luxurious weekend away.

Already booking our next trip....thank you Lynn & Wayne.

We recently spent three very relaxing days in this amazing place. On arrival we were warmly greeted by Lynn and Wayne who gave us a short tour of the premises and surrounding farm before we moved into our rooms - The Mohaka Suite. Everything about the property was clean and tidy, plenty of room in the main room of the accommodation and a massive double shower! There was a large fruit bowl overflowing on the table, and more than enough 'essentials' for breakfast. Also included was a large array of fruit and nibbles, cheeses, crackers and complimentary drinks. Our hosts were very helpful and informative regarding local attractions, wineries, restaurants etc.
The bed was nice and large and comfortable, the linen was first class and there was an abundance of towels and bathroom extras.
The property is set on ten acres and has resident alpacas, sheep, cattle and a large number of fruit trees set around the property. We were encouraged to 'help ourselves' to the fruit and on departure were presented with two bags of citrus fruit - including some very nice limes. The property also boast a large swimming pool, a tennis court and other outdoor activities.
Nothing was any trouble to our hosts and we would love to return again in the summer.
Highly recommended for a very relaxing break and outstanding accommodation.

We had six nights at Kalldeen and loved every minute. The great location, privacy and tranquility of the property had us sold.
We stayed in The Cape Chalet. It was spacious, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The fridge was stocked with a selection of beer, juice and water as well as fresh fruit, cheese, salami and condiments. We were also provided with crackers, bread and nuts. These were all restocked regularly.
We loved the private deck and the spa pool was a treat.
Wayne and Lynn were lovely personable and very generous hosts who farewelled us with a bag of fruit and vegetables.
We will definitely be back and will be recommending Kalldeen to our friends and family.
Thank you Wayne and Lynn.

We had a wonderful 3 days staying here. Seeing alpacas out of our window was the icing on the cake. The owners were incredibly helpful and the lodge was stunning- every little detail from the food in the fridge to the outside spa area was top notch. An excellent place to stay near Napier

Kalldeen has it all!

Kind and thoughtful hosts for which nothing is too much trouble.
The accommodation is the best I have stayed in. The attention to detail and quality of fixtures, fittings, towels, sheets and bathrobes were top notch.
The spa was super clean, having been refilled between guests.
The bed was the comfiest, so much so we even got the make of it!
There were fresh limes, lemons and mandarins.
Feel o lucky to have spent time here - we are already planning our next trip 😁

As a former travel agent who has travelled extensively I would have to say this was the most comfortable accommodation. Lynn and Wayne made such an effort to look after our every need and are great hosts. Great pool and unfortunately not time for the outdoor persuits such as tennis, pétanque, chess or basketball.
Easy drive to Napier, Cape Kidnappers golf and all of the wineries set in beautiful grounds with an abundance of fruit trees and delightful alpacas.
Hope to return again and enjoy this great spot in sunny Hawkes Bay!

A friend recommended Kalldeen, we checked it out their website and decided to book ourselves in to The Cape chalet for a week.

Located in Pakowhai it was an easy drive to Taradale, Napier and Hastings.

Upon arrival we received a warm welcome from Lynn and Wayne. They showed us around - the swimming pool, outdoor activities such as the tennis courts, pétanque court and the giant chess set, the fruit trees (which you could help yourself to if you wanted something) and the alpacas. It was exciting to see a baby alpaca that was only four days old.

The Cape chalet was perfect for our weeks stay. It was a small home away from home, with a kitchen which Lynn and Wayne had stocked with many goodies for breakfast. The private courtyard was lovely, with sun loungers, a water feature and a spa pool. We enjoyed being able to relax in our own private space.

If you’re looking for somewhere special to stay then look no further, Kalldeen is definitely the place to stay in the Hawkes Bay.

We will definitely be back to stay again.
