Had a great time staying at the Palm City Motor Inn, it was so hot when we arrived I immediately went in there lovely outdoor swimming pool, was very refreshing, thank goodness for aircon. Very quiet and peaceful place to stay, easily walked into town from the motel and supermarkets were handy. The staff were very friendly and the young women in the reception was very helpful made sure we were happy and was very organised as we were being up by bus at the motel for our concert, well worth the $40 each on the bus and we didn’t have to take our car. There is a restaurant at the motel and we had a lovely meal. We met some nice people along the way😀

What a fantastic motel! If friendly service, cleanliness and a welcoming smile is top of your list then this is the place for you. Over our stay of 4 days we utilised the pool area, the outdoor chairs(just outside our unit). We appreciated the milk, range of teas, the coffee and Xmas treats left out for us...one of us is partial to eating copious amounts of chocolate! Thank you to the cleaning team who topped up everything and replaced the towels.

We stay at medium priced accommodation in Napier at least once a year. Usually, we try to get something on the beachfront and often have average experiences. this time, we tried Palm City. It was a lot cheaper, really clean, and within great walking distance to the restaurant we ate at. No complaints.

Firstly we must say that the receptionist was very helpful, polite and was willing to return our money without problem. This motel is tired...... the fittings and furnishings need complete renovation, and the rooms themselves definitely need a deep-clean. So much so that we left and stayed at another motel in town. As it is, I would not recommend.

Hi, Sorry to hear you where disappointed. We have already done a lot of renovations. Aircon/heat pumps are only 1 year old. 6 month old 40" smart TV's, Linen and new all appliances (Microwave, kettle etc). I have a very good housekeeping staff, and feel disappointed you saying they need a deep-clean. We did offer you a free up grade into a 2 bedroom apartment, plus even though you where in the room for more than 5 hours, we gave you a full refund and locked the room. A lack of shelves or hooks for hanging my change of clothes and the absence of an extractor fan in the bathroom lets the establishment down. Also, there were no USB charging points in the rooms. The surcharge on payment by Credit Card annoyed me since I booked direct and not through a booking site whose commission would be far more than Visa/Mastercard commission? Angled car parks are also "Tight"

Just stayed at the Palm City Motor Inn with husband and two young children. The room we had was split over two levels, with twin room for children and bathroom upstairs and our double bed/ living/ kitchen and a separate shower room downstairs. No sofa with the double in living space but no big deal was glad the children were in separate space upstairs. After kids were running around inside I noticed their socks were filthy and couldn’t understand why. Anyway turns out after wiping the kitchen Lino and looking at the carpets both were absolutely filthy. Like black when wiped with a wet cloth. Then when it came to bath time for the children I had to look twice when I saw bath scum around the entire edge of the bath and had to properly clean this. Made me feel a bit sick the disgusting condition of the place on close inspection. Sack the cleaners I say. Would definitely not stay again.

I wished you had told me sooner, but after checking the cleaning roster, the lady who cleaned your room has now left the motel. I have a very good cleaning team, but this person was letting the team down. She did find the job very hard ( to be fair it is a very hard job to do), but that is no excuse for not doing the job correctly. We were staying overnight as apart of a journey south and chose it partly for its proximity to a sporting event we attended. The room was adequate. The TV coverage was poor, the wifi not great. Checking in was quite difficult because we struggled to get their attention.

Modern and clean unit, just out of the main town area but close enough for convenience, quiet and well appointed. Attached restaurant is worth a visit. The food was delicious with large servings. We did find the self service access a bit odd on arrival, but it was a Sunday and everybody needs some time off . We would stay again.

It is a family friendly, nice and clean motel. We loved it. It was only 5 minutes away from CBD and Marine Parade. Little pool was wonderful and our kid enjoyed the trampoline as well. We recommend it.

This motel is a great location and easy to find. Even though its on the main road, the rooms are quiet.
Rooms are clean and spacious rooms.
The owners are friendly and helpful.
