Absolutely wonderful stay! Kids loved feeding the animals and having access to a huge range of toys and games. The hosting couple are lovely and really make you feel like you are old friends they just hadn't met before. The premium breakfast is just that, and the kids loved the range of fresh fruit and cereals. We stayed in the River suite and it had everything we expected and needed to make our stay relaxing and stress free. We definitely will be coming back!!

Where can I being. Rua Resort exceeded our expectations. Clive and Colleen are remarkable hosts, with such an warm and inviting energy. The grounds are lovely and well kept and the house it's self is stunning and spotless. Heaps to keep the kids occupied as well. Can't say anything negative about Rua Resort.

Very welcoming and helpful. Lovely host who was easy to chat with and open to answering any questions we had during our stay. The supplied breakfast was delicious with a wide range of things to choose from. The rooms were well kept and felt homely. We look forward to returning for another stay.

This was the most amazing B & B accommodation we have experienced. The Italian inspired mansion is spacious, gracious and gorgeous in every respect. Bedrooms well appointed with outside balconies, and a huge family bathroom. Downstairs a huge lounge and dining area. Clive and Colleen were welcoming and made our stay so pleasant. We are looking for another excuse to visit Hamilton and stay again with them.

What a nice experience. I didn’t plan to stay in a B&B in Hamilton for business, but good rooms where in short supply. This place reminds you of all that is great about this style of accomodation. The BEST rural views, nice breakfast, relaxed atmosphere, peace and quiet and great hosts Colleen and Clive. The room was well appointed and very clean. I only wish I was on holidays!

We have had wonderful experience while we stayed in Rua resort, Colleen, the host, is super friendly and very pleasant to deal with. The rooms are decorated very nice with its style, everything are kept in orders with thoughtful details, really appreciate the enormous efforts Colleen and her family have been contributing to this BnB accommodation business, the complimentary breakfast is so nice and it really went above my expectation ... for families with young kids, my daughter really enjoyed feeding the animals and the farm tour, we are planning to stay as a group perhaps later this year, it would be great! Collen thank you so much for having us and we would love to come back again for sure!

Rua Resort is an incredible home and offers fantastic accommodation. The rooms and the establishment itself are nothing short of luxury. It is a space where you feel truly looked after by the hosts, and if you want to treat yourself the scrambled eggs and bacon were delicious. Can’t wait to be back!

Booking with the lovely lady host Colleen over the phone was quite direct and persist, she was very polite and offered me two different rooms, though the honey moon suite would have been perfect but is not ready till later in the year, This is a very lovely warm old style resort that could do a little more modern renovating in the suites especially if they are there for romantic experience, offering us bath rock and free cooked breakfast was so 👌 of her, lovely family and it is children friendly also with all there fam pets on site to visit beautiful views and a perfect silent piece of paradise, just a very lovely home I would enjoy coming to stay again some time maybe with our children too.

Response from Colleen Strother, Owner at Rua Resort

Hi Tessa and Trojan, Thank you for your comments. Can you be more specific with suggestions on how you think we could “modernise the suites, especially for romantic experiences?”. We frequently upgrade the furnishings so would love to hear your ideas. There is always room for a fresh perspective. Regarding the Honeymoon suite, it is regularly in use. I am sorry if you misunderstood. It was already booked on the night of your recent stay. Jump in early and request that suite when you plan to come next time. Kind regards, Colleen
