Great place to stay for an overnight trip! Seperate lounge/ kitchen area, good sized bedroom and beautiful ensuite. Seperate entrance, so you don't feel like your intruding in someone's home. Coffee machine was a most welcome surprise at the end of a day of work, and the breakfast is nicer than most Cafes. Very comfy bed, lovely decor and high quality fittings. Will definitely stay again, perfect for a weekend shopping trip.

Staying at Awa was a wonderful experience. Cathy and Murray treated us more like friends than guests. Their personal touches are what makes staying here so special. The accomodation is spacious with kitchen facilites, seperate lounge and sleeping areas and well equiped bathroom.
cleanliness is first class. the location being near the river was peacful and we really enjoyed our walks along this very special spot. it was also convenient for access to the city area and other attractions close by. the personal touches were apprecaited especially when we were celelbrating our anniversary. Breakfast was substantial and delicious! Exceptional value for money. just wished we could have stayed longer and will definitely return. thanks so much.

What a great place. The accommodations are wonderful, but that pales in comparison to the way you are welcomed and treated by the owners. From the minute we pulled up until the minute we left, they could not have been more charming and pleasant. Even though they had company over, they shared their own wine out on the deck with us, invited us to dine with them, and made us feel so, incredibly comfortable. Cathy makes the breakfasts herself and they are amazing! She knows how to cook. Our only complaint is that we did not have more time in our plans to stay longer. We would have loved to do so! AWA is a hidden gem that sparkles because of Murray and Cathy!

The hotel we wanted to stay was fully booked, and it's not easy to find a place we really like but I'm glad I made the right choice for choosing this B&B. Friendly hosts, clean, new, and comfortable living room and bedroom. It's definitely better than any hotels in the city, it's situated next to the lake and only a few min drive from the city, handy but quiet location. Not to mention the breakfast, check out the picture I shared.

Awa Retreat is a lovely B&B. The place runs by a lovely couple and offers a beautiful spacious room (with an extra bed for people with children), a delicious breakfast and a tranquil location. It's 8 KM from the beautiful Hamilton Gardens, which can easily be reached by bicycle ride a long the river. The owners kindly let us use their own bikes. A car park is provided as well.
Warmly recommended!

Really more of an apartment than a room. Very nicely decorated in a fresh and colorful way. The house is right next to a picturesque part of the river. Cathy and Murray are great and have excellent dinner recommendations!
