Detailed Reviews
Positives are location, presentation is amazingly clean for a competitive price however we were disappointed that they were advertising on their own website via their booking system that if you booked directly you received a complementary continental breakfast. We were advised due to COVID breakfast was not available when we asked at check-in. At the time we were in level 1 & they were happy to provide milk for hot drinks so why not packet cereal & fruit etc? We were offered a full refund if we did not want to stay however as it was 4.30pm that was not acceptable.

Arena Court is extremely comfortable. The rooms are very clean and everything is new; good quality utensils; nice glasses etc. The kitchenette was well stocked with various teas, coffee and chocolate - and a biscuit! We were in #9 which is a room for disabled people and the room was well thought out. I had the best 2 nights sleep I've had for months. I would have given it 5* except for the shower; the pressure was very poor and I struggled with the fitting - small thing and didn't alter our enjoyment. Thank you Arena Court.

The Arena must be one of the cleanest places we have stayed at while touring the north island. Beautiful clean rooms, kitchen, bathroom. The kitchenette was awesome especially with decent fridge, toaster and cook top making it super handy. Luxury of two televisions, really comfty beds and helpful staff to fit us all in. Would of happily stayed on. Thank you. See you again!

I stay in quite a lot of motels through work and travel. This motel has to be one of my favourites! I was welcomed by the manager who was lovely and took an interest in why I was staying in Hamilton. I had to stay longer than expected so he juggled everything around at the last minute so I could remain in the same room even though the motel was fully booked.
The room was extremely clean and tidy (with very nice coffee) and very comfortable!
It is also situated close to town making walking ir driving around very easy.
I cannot fault the Arena Court Motel and will definitely be back.

BEWARE: Motel seems to have several rooms (6-8) allocated for emergency housing. Owner of motel literally locks himself in and unlocks the door to let you into reception for check in (we checked in 3pm) then locks again as you leave. The guests strongly appear to live there and have a dangerous feel about them. Owner gave us no warning about the situation.
Parties, loud music, multiple cars coming & going all night to different rooms, drunk/drugged up & gang looking people until 7am the next morning. I was literally too scared to leave my room after 9pm. Made a quick dash for my car in the morning. Aside from my own safety was worried about my car all night too and didn’t sleep. So sad guests are not warned about this as it could be very dangerous for you if you walked out your room into the wrong situation!
Please be careful & if you don’t believe me at least question the owner & have a look around first at the motel before booking and be VERY careful if choosing to stay here…

We were only here for 1 night but could have easily stayed longer. The room was very clean and spacious. There were 4 of us staying in a one bedroom unit - the beds were very comfy but I wouldn't recommend the sofa bed for an adult.
Walking distance to Pak n Save and The Helm for dinner and drinks.
Perfect for what we needed

Average Motel with less than impressive service from the owners, managers and staff.
I booked the Spa Studio - Room only for $189.00 for 1 night. There are very few good motels in Hamilton that you 100% trust to be clean.
This cleanliness was reasonable but I dare not walk on the carpet in bare feet. In the morning I tried to contact staff to get some coffee.
No response to phone calls or knocking on door x 3 separate times within the hours of operation.
