We have been to New Zealand a few times but not to Hamilton What a great area,we went to the caves ,Papamoa and Tauranga ,and Raglan we also mellowed out after 30 hours of travel and this place was like heaven ,it was super clean ,handy to everything and the owner Ann was amazing fresh tomatoes, mint parsley bbq, and the best pool every day in the pool nothing was a minus in this spacious cottage .loved it and would return . ,
This is a nice place to stay at the river end of Anglesea street, but within walking distance of downtown and the restaurants on Victoria Street, and is just a short walk from the Countdown supermarket..The room really two rooms consisted of a living room with a couch and gas fire place, small table and two chairs and then a bed room. The room had a porch over looking the backyard in which was was a small pool that you could use. There is free WIFI which was good enough for me to make Skype calls.. They provide breakfast for you in the room, and the supplies are replenished each day. There was coffee, cereal, bread, yogurt, milk and cheese. Note that there is a coffee press.Toiletries are provided and a real key is used.
Stayed at City Centre Hamilton B&B for a weekend sports competition. Loved the peaceful yet central location. Handy off street parking. Cute little cottage with pleasant outlook to the garden and pool. Everything clean and tidy. Lovely hosts - the right combination of friendly, helpful, while respecting our privacy. Even though we didn't request breakfast, they still provided some food. Some lovely little touches. Such a refreshing change from staying at a motel. Will definitely come back for next year's competition.
Book City Centre B and B for a 2 day stop-over in Hamilton on our vacation. Definitely made the right decision, really quiet location within the city, but within 10 minutes of a Countdown store and 15 minutes of the cities shops and restaurant area. We stayed in the "West Wing" a delightful 3 room apartment with a lounge; bedroom and en-suite, both the lounge and bedroom have double "French Doors" which overlooked the garden and swimming pool. The whole apartment was really clean and well maintained, the bed was very comfortable and the linen of very good quality. The en-suite was small but very clean and the shower had plenty of hot water. Made use of the gas grill BBQ, cooked a couple of steaks, which made a really nice change from eating out. We had the "Continental Breakfast", cereal, toast, fruit and yogurt, all very nice. Must see whilst you are visiting Hamilton is the Lake Rotoroa, the Waikato River and the “jewel in Hamilton’s crown” the botanical gardens, definitely world class. Our visit was completed by our hosts Anne and Pete, who were always there to help, thank you….…
My best friend and I booked this place for a month for a medical rotation. We were pleasantly surprised at how many amenities were in the apartment. We had everything we needed in the kitchenette including pots and pans, hot plates, microwave, dishes, and a tea kettle. The bedroom and bathroom also had everything we needed and more with plenty of towels, blankets, shampoo, etc. Our hosts were wonderful and very helpful. They recommended places to visit, helped us sort day to day concerns such as laundry, and gave us plenty of privacy. Overall, we had a wonderful time and are eternally grateful for their hospitality and friendship.
